We currently have an Associate Director of Business Operations opportunity, supporting our Banner University Medical Center Phoenix. The preferred candidate for this position will have strong analytical skills, while taking a disciplined approach on supply cost analysis with the ability to provide recommended solutions for savings. Other responsibilities for this position include oversight of the scheduling team, project management including improving throughput efficiencies, budget management, capital request management, surgical block management, vendor and invoice management while working closely with our Supply Chain partners.
This position reports to the Perioperative Services Director and will provide support across all of Perioperative and Endoscopy units. Prior experience in a similar business management position within healthcare is preferred.
This is a full-time, Monday - Friday opportunity. Business hours will vary.

POSITION SUMMARY
This position provides operational support in business operations of a facility procedural department(s) (e.g. Perioperative Services). Develops and implements strategies to support the Department Director in the development, analysis, and preparation of strategic financial and operational plans and reviews current operating results to achieve overall department strategic goals and objectives. Takes appropriate measures to insure maximum procedural room utilization and efficiency. Tracks and manages budgets to review utilization and expenditures ensuring operational efficiency and revenue reconciliations to support future strategic growth. May also have responsibility and oversight for non-clinical functions related to the clinical area(s).

3. Sets direction and resolves problems. Resolves increasingly complex customer complaints or problems.
4. Interacts primarily with direct reports, supervisor, customers, peer managers, supervisor's peers, patients and physicians.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree or equivalent working knowledge in the field of Business, Finance, Heath Administration.
Must posses a level of knowledge and ability normally achieved by a minimum of two to three years management experience in process development or service line management including demonstrated abilities in the areas of budgeting, forecasting and operational analysis.
Must have the ability to foster and inspire a collaborative work environment; guide and motivate teams, physicians and subordinates; and build strong relationships of trust.
Must have excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing with all levels staff and outside professionals, being assertive and approachable.
Must be hard working, self-motivated, and results oriented.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Previous supervisory/team leadership experience preferred.
Master of Business Administration (MBA) preferred.
Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
