Our client, a local industry leader in building material supplies, is seeking an Accounts Receivables Manager to add to their team of successful professionals. The A/R manager will oversee the daily billing, A/R, collections, and other finance support functions. Here are some responsibilities of the role:

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Develops departmental policies and procedures for credit approval , collections, charge offs and resolution
  • Frequently evaluates existing customer payment. Verifies customer's compliance with credit terms and withdraws credit when appropriate
  • Leads interactions with key strategic customers to drive successful outcomes to disputes and resolution of account balances
  • Collaborates with internal sales teams/management to develop and implement strategies to optimize/enhance collection processes
  • Identifies and executes process improvements to improve collection of receivables and internal controls
  • Develops and executes strategic plans to increase cash flow and reduce DSO (days sales outstanding)
  • Assist project managers and operations staff as needed
  • Handles all audit/compliance requirements
  • Organize and assign accounts receivable staff functions; provide direction to the daily, monthly, and year-end processing; monitor and evaluate performance and provide for staff development opportunities.
  • Research and resolve vendor issues as they arise
  • Help in preparing supporting documents for external audits
  • Additional other related duties as assigned
  • Collaborate with other cross functional teams to build and improve credit policies to sustain exceptional service to internal and external customers
  • Recognize and execute cost efficient procedures to benefit profitability
  • Work in partnership with other management on cross-functional initiatives that are geared towards improvement of customer experience and driving internal efficiencies
  • Manage direct and indirect staff and provide mentoring, development, and ongoing support


REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's in finance or related field required, M.B.A preferred
  • 5 years' experience in credit and collections
  • Minimum of 2 years of management experience
  • Knowledge of BizTrack strongly preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent work ethic and leadership skills
  • Professional oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
