The Back End Enabling Systems team is responsible for supporting customers with all back end Optum applications, certain Client applications and 3rd Party Vendor support. This team has absorbed IT functions, provisioning and file maintenance and general operation guidance needed to support these applications. This resource will assist Operations in driving operational improvements, product enhancements and cost control for new clients.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Trouble-shooting Complex issues, ability to analyze data and to present analysis in a format that is relatable to interested parties
  • Develop recommended business solutions through research and analysis of data and business process and implement when appropriate
  • Coordinate testing and post-production validation to ensure efficient services and optimal system development
  • Work collaboratively with internal and external customers to cultivate a strong working relationship. Coordinates activities with facility Patient Registration, HIM, Clinical and Case Management departments to ensure an efficient workflow and system interaction
  • Maintain users, specific profiles, and tables in eFR/MRT/CA applications. This includes coordinating all task that are required with other teams to ensure the changes are implemented and tested in these applications
  • Support of 3rd party Vendor Applications and working with both internal and external parties on identified issue
  • Analyzing workflow issues and providing optimal solutions to customers and maintaining the Global Operating principles
  • Maintain and troubleshooting for all internal tools developed to assist in the workflow for efficiencies which include the PFS databases
  • Maintains all tickets assigned through ticketing system to ensure SLA's are met. tickets
  • Support short and long term operational / strategic business activities through analysis
  • Support Cash posting applications and enroll new electronic payers.
  • Analyze, review, forecast, and trend complex data

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • 3+ years of work experience in Revenue Cycle within a hospital or clinic setting with focus on Billing and Collections
  • 3+ years of experience with data analysis and problem solving
  • 3+ years with PC based software programs and automated database management systems (Excel, Access, PowerPoint)
  • 2+ years of experience with process improvement, workflow support, and evaluation of business processes

Colorado Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $64,800 to $116,000. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
