IS Application Specialist (SAP ABAP & PI/PO)

This position is part of the global Information Systems team, working in Electrification Business Area (ELBA), you will support major projects for an existing large-scale SAP & eco systems integrations. Specifically, you will drive the optimization of processes, design, collaborate across teams, align with corporate mandates and objectives, and deliver throughout the entire project lifecycles, from analysis to Design, Development, Testing, and Implementation. As an Application Specialist you will also be responsible for Operational Support, working with the vendor resources and ensuring the IT general control compliance.

Your responsibilities

• Be a highly motivated and hands SAP technical (ABAP & SAP PI/PO) specialist with a "can do" attitude
• Demonstrate the ability to translate business needs into solution architecture requirements adhering to organization standards. Work closely with stakeholders and various business contacts to come up with feasible architecture
• Collaborate closely with domain solution architects and leaders to elaborate requirements and design that address specific business challenges
• Able to set direction, technical scope and to build / lead teams of technical individuals and manage their technical deliverables, drive vendor teams to deliver solutions in accordance with quality standards and within budget & timelines
• Define, provide, and govern technical solution design by ensuring the proper repository of specifications as well as global template documentation such as architectural specifications, global coding standards, development methodologies.
• Work closely with other members of the Platform and Development teams to ensure logical and technical architectures will support SAP COE standards and requirements, ensuring compatibility with other areas
• Propose continuous improvement ideas, simplification, and consolidation strategies
• Be responsible for ensuring adherence governance model, Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) processes and IT General Controls (ITGC) Compliance
• Support the transformation of the business through SAP standard process adoption and delivery in ERP rollouts
• Drive & Support technical governance process & ITIL/ITGC
• Work closely with the Enterprise Application Integration (EAI)/Middleware/SAP Basis teams to ensure developments are executed in a timely manner and appropriate quality
• Strong process adherence to fulfill all documentation controls for new process introduction and process management controls.
• Willing to learn new platforms/areas, technologies and proactive to solve business problems
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in business & IT

Your background

• Bachelor's Degree or foreign equivalent degree in computer science, computer engineering, Engineering, or business-related matters with minimum 8-10 years of experience in SAP technical design & development.
• Self-starter who thrives in an ever-changing, fast-paced business environment.
• Deep understanding of high-volume architectural and technical SAP solutions (SAP ABAP and SAP PI/PO).
• Extensive experience in working with ERP & integrations with ERP's eco systems.
• Good experience working on different adapters including and not limited to SAP, SFTP, JMS, JDBC, REST and AS2.
• Good experience in working on real-time, high volume, response time sensitive customer facing integrations.
• Good experience in Java/J2EE.
• Good experience in Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) standards and specifications.
• Good experience in identifying performance bottlenecks, troubleshooting, fine tuning complex. integration scenarios.
• Good understanding of Cloud, API gateways, external B2B partner connectivity.
• Good understanding of security standards.
• Good understanding of network, protocols, Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) environments.
• Experience in DevOps model is desired.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to creatively solve business problems.
• Experience in implementing, designing, performing, or owning IT General Controls, ITIL processes.
• Experience in running Operational support for business and driving ITIL processes.
• Excellent communication, influencing and facilitation skills, Fluent in English written and spoken.
• Ability to deliver under pressure.
