Airline Operational Efficacy - Experienced EvaluatorCompany:The Boeing CompanyJob ID:00000264599Date Posted:2021-11-30-08:00Location:USA - Seal Beach, CAJob Description Qualifications: The Boeing Company is seeking a motivated Senior Level Efficacy Evaluator to join Airplane Operational Efficacy team in Seal Beach, California.Position Responsibilities:

  • As part of the Safety Management System, the Airplane Operational Efficacy team will travel on site to work directly with our airline partners to evaluate and advise on maintenance and engineering operations
  • Present professional image in representing the Boeing Company to the customer
  • Evaluate Airline Operations for ability to maintain operations compliant with international industry safety standards and Boeing safety standards
  • Assess airlines using a pre-defined checklist using both virtual interaction with airline counterparts and onsite evaluations of airline operations
  • Establish working relationships with airline personnel virtually to coordinate visits and onsite
  • Support airline personnel and leadership to mitigate identified gaps and bring to standard
  • Position will require regular travel to airline customers for several weeks at a time to observe and interact with airline maintenance and engineering personnel to evaluate operator performance
  • While back at home base, team members will share findings, prepare reports for senior executive and sales leadership and work virtually with airline operators to prepare for future evaluations
  • Much of the work performed in support of the Boeing Commercial Airplane's Efficacy Evaluations will require travel to international sites. Position requires all candidates to pass post transfer background screenings to apply for work visa's in an assignment to an international host country. If clearances cannot be granted from the requisite international country, the result may be reassignment, reclassification or termination of employment.

The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. "US Person" includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience):

  • Flexibility to work varying hours, support evening and early morning customer teleconference and be available by phone 24/7 as needed
  • Be able to travel 50-75% internationally required, with likely travel to remote and challenging environments
  • 5+ years of experience or education directly related to airline operations (i.e., Maintenance Control Center, Flight Operations, Line Maintenance, Engineering, Planning, Parts, and Quality Assurance, MRO operations, etc...)
  • 5+ years of experience working with airline operations to identify and resolve operational issues

Preferred Qualification (Desired Skills / Experience):

  • Previous experience working at an airline
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry is preferred
  • Airframe and power plant license (license need not be current) or direct commercial pilot experience or flight operations background
  • Experience building and presenting plans or recommendations to airline customers and executive leadership
  • Familiarity and comfort working in an airport environment and observing safety requirements
  • Excellent communication skills -- must be able to communicate with airline personnel (ability to listen and capture data) during the interviews
  • The ability to determine if the customer program meets requirements - evaluating for efficacy of operation
  • Demonstrated team player
  • Proven technical writing and presentation skills (clear and concise)
  • Knowledge of basic airline safety practices
  • Experience with auditing/evaluation
  • Knowledge of FAA, EASA and/or Local Regulatory standards
  • Background in airline engineering, maintenance planning, material, quality, maintenance control, line/base maintenance and/or flight ops
  • Experience traveling and working abroad and representing Boeing to customers or regulators
  • Ability to cross-reference rules among EASA, FAA, ICAO,IOSA, or Local Regulatory
  • Familiarity with SMS/QMS processes
