As an Agile Practitioner, you will work closely partnering with Business Stakeholders, Product Managers, & IT Delivery Owners to guide agile teams to implement complex capabilities across large programs. You will establish program level cadence and drive program level ceremonies (e.g., PI Planning, Product Management Council, Scrum of Scrums, release train retrospectives) and will work with other program leaders to drive the definition and refinement of the program backlog. You will gain invaluable exposure within UHC providing leadership, direction, and coaching to backlog owners and scrum teams. As an Agile Practitioner, you are articulate and possess solid communication skills with a solid technical background as you lead technical coordination across teams.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Customer facing point of contact for State and Federal Partners
  • Provider thought leadership to large, complex technology initiatives in order to achieve business objectives
  • Serve as IT point of contact to stakeholders including regulators, health plans, and operations
  • Provide servant leadership to delivery partners to ensure coordination and collaboration
  • Work to align strategy, methodology and execution across agile teams ensuring on scope, on time, on budget, on benefit and on quality delivery (5 ONs)
  • Execute agile ceremonies across solution, release, and sprint trains including, definition and planning activities (backlog refinement), PI Planning, ART sync, retrospectives, and delivery
  • Maintain metrics that provide visibility of plans, progress and quality to stakeholders
  • Foster a team collaborative environment that tears down silos between groups - act in a single voice
  • Actively contribute to the company's Agile and Lean Community through participation in the internal Agile Community of Practice Forums
  • Develop, coach, and mentor team members to advance their skills and career
  • Provide real time feedback to the agile team based on experiences
  • Be a change agent and foster a "learn by doing" environment

Required Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of demonstrated experience working in Scrum, Agile, or Scaled Agile (SAFe) environment or working as a Program Manager in complex environments
  • 5+ years of Healthcare experience
  • 5+ years of demonstrated experience presenting and working with Executive Leadership/Stakeholders
  • Full COVID-19 vaccination is an essential requirement of this role. UnitedHealth Group will adhere to all federal, state and local regulations as well as all client requirements and will obtain necessary proof of vaccination prior to employment to ensure compliance


Preferred Qualifications:

  • SAFe certification
  • Leading/working with distributed or cross functional teams

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only : The salary range for Colorado, Connecticut and/or Nevada residents is $94,500 to $171,700. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
