You'll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.
Primary Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and lead technology delivery to successful completion, operating within scope, budget, and schedule commitments
  • Own end-to-end accountability for project/work stream delivery
  • Facilitate consensus and decision-making with product, vendor, and engineering
  • Partner with stakeholders (internal and external) to align to strategy, plan, alignment, integration and visibility
  • Partner with Product Management to drive the definition and refinement of the program backlog
  • Support and ensure scrum concepts are followed by teams (e.g. stand ups, Scrum of Scrums, Retrospectives)
  • Foster a team collaborative environment that tears down silos between groups - act in a single voice
  • Influence leaders and managers
  • Lead and influence matrixed teams -ensuring inspect and adapt practices are adhered to
  • Maintain strong collaborative relationships with key partners (vendor, product, tech)
  • Ensure open communication and transparency among teams and stakeholders
  • Manage work stream financials and forecast with precision
  • Be a change agent and foster a "learn by doing" environment

Required Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years as an IT Project or Program manager with a proven track record of delivering complex projects / programs
  • 2+ years of applied experience with Agile / Adaptive frameworks
  • Experience with government healthcare programs, in particular Medicaid
  • Successful track record of delivering quality programs on scope, on time, and on budget
  • Hands-on experience with CA Agile Central (Rally) and/or Jira
  • Demonstrated ability to proactively manage the details of programs and projects
  • Ability to communicate technology matters to different levels of tech acumen (translation)
  • Successful in obtaining results in a large corporate (Fortune 500), heavily matrixed environment


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to manage capital budgets of up to $6M annual
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, team building and relationship building skills

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $82,100 to $146,900. The salary range for Connecticut / Nevada residents is $90,500 to $161,600. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
