Primary Responsibilities:

  • Act as an Execution lead closely partnering with the Program teams, Technical Leads, Architects & Business Owner to guide investment
  • Act as an adoption/transformation lead for agile implementation at enterprise level and/or across multiple streams of work
  • Facilitate coordination and dependency alignment within the work streams or between the workstream and other Scrum Teams
  • Provide leadership and direction to the program teams on agile practices - optimize the overall software development lifecycle
  • Work stream impediment removal
  • Maintain relevant metrics that increases transparency and informs adaptive decision making
  • Lead overall technology delivery to successful completion, operating within scope, budget, and schedule commitments
  • Establish and continuously improve an efficient delivery ecosystem while maintaining required governance processes
  • Foster a team collaborative environment that tears down silos between groups, act in a single voice
  • Work cross functionally to align strategy, methodology and execution
  • Be a change agent and foster a "learn by doing" environment
  • Communication and engagement at multiple levels with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Actively contribute to the company's Agile Community through participation in the internal Agile Community of Practice
  • Ensure overall product strategy and Roadmap are executed
  • Drive the budget at scrum team/product level

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 10+ years of Product and IT experience
  • 10+ years leading transformation efforts spanning across at least business and technology
  • 10+ years of experience applying multiple agile frameworks like Scrum, Kanban, LeSS
  • 10+ years in the role of Project Manager, Scrum Master, Product Owner, or Agile Coach
  • 7+ years of experience working on large scale, multiple Scrum team projects
  • 3+ years of leading / managing people


Preferred Qualifcations:

  • Healthcare experience
  • Experience with Mainframe (COBOL, JCL), Java and Cloud technologies
  • Experience with agile management tools (i.e., Rally)
  • Experience with financial acumen with experience managing budgets exceeding $5M or more
  • Solid understanding of scaling Agile, and understand the unique opportunities and challenges associated with facilitating and continuously aligning a large development program
  • Understanding of fundamentals of DevOps, Continuous Delivery & Accept Test Drive Development (ATDD)
  • Understanding of incremental delivery and the value of metrics
  • Demonstrated ability to weigh alternatives and determine program strategy
  • Excellent communication skills in written and spoken form
  • Excellent speaking, facilitating and resolution skills

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $97,300 to $176,900. The salary range for Connecticut / Nevada residents is $97,300 to $176,900. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
