Advanced Security Specialist
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Administration of Justice, Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement or related field or the equivalent is required plus a minimum of 5 years relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 3 years relevant experience. General Dynamics experience is strongly preferred.
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:
Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire, but you must be able to get a Top Secret. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

As the Advanced Security Specialist, you'll coordinate and perform routine to intermediate security tasks to ensure compliance with contractual, program and security requirements. This will include participating in the administration and coordination of one or more security programs/activities, conducting security briefings, maintaining security education programs and planning for new security programs, including proposal preparation. Additionally, we will rely on you to provide leadership to a team as well as partner with various government agencies to ensure corporation is compliant with directives and regulations and obtains rulings, interpretations and deviations, as appropriate.

What you bring to the table:
- A Bachelor's degree in Administration of Justice, Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement or related field or the equivalent plus a minimum of 5 years relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 3 years relevant experience
- Solid knowledge of all security policies and procedures and ability to interpret security requirements and apply them consistently across diverse situations
- Fully proficient knowledge of all general functions and substantial understanding of policies and procedures to include the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual Supplement (NISPOMSUP), National Security Agency (NSA) Industrial COMSEC Manual, 90-1, specific Program Security Directives (PSD)

Your qualifications:
- Current and Active Secret Clearance required at time of hire,Top Secret Clearance must be obtainable after hire.
- 2 years of experience in COMSEC as a primary or alternate custodian.
- Versed in NSA/CSS Policy Manual 3-16 and have a thorough understanding of the COMSEC requirements and other COMSEC related security doctrines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and ability to work within demanding timelines.
- Self-motivated and be able to work with little supervision.
- Working knowledge of KMI system.
- Familiarity with CNSSI 4005 and the Title 32 CFR Part 117, NISPOM Rule.
- Able to provide COMSEC/Cryptographic access briefings.
- Conduct semi-annual audits/inventories and document discrepancies and corrections in a Plan of Actions and Milestones (POA&M).
- Knowledge of established procedures contained in various government and company security regulations for the receipt, storage, transmission, and destruction of classified material.
- Excellent computer skills including use of Microsoft Office Suite, DIAS, SIMS, or other databases to track the transmission and receipt of classified material.
- Ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Must be able to lift 25 pounds.
- Maintain the strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Analyze, investigate, and participate in the resolution of classified security issues.
- Establish and maintain liaison with government agencies, external customers, contractors, employees, and managers.
- Possess the ability to identify issues and develop solutions to a variety of problems.
- Able to work extended hours, if needed
- Develop, and Manage Prime and Sub-Contract DD-254's.
- Investigate report, and document security violations.
- Must work with a sense of urgency, integrity, and ethics.
- Must be flexible - adapt to changes in the work environment and maintain a professional demeanor.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Target salary range: USD $91,600.00/Yr. - USD $99,100.00/Yr. This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary.
