Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work closely and effectively with team members, follow up to ensure tasks are completed
  • Create high quality documents, spreadsheets, and presentations. Review/edit EHSS documents for consistent formatting and correct spelling/grammar
  • Support on-site EHSS awareness campaigns
  • Assist in ensuring digital displays and required postings are accurate and current
  • Manage department files via shared teams drives, keeping materials organized and current
  • Reconcile department expenses through purchase orders and Concur/Dept credit card
  • Acts as liaison with vendors as necessary
  • Support tasks/activities involving training platform (DLC), including but not limited to verifying users training completion, enroll new users in learning plans, update ILT training enrollment, etc.
  • Perform data entry activities as directed
  • Minute-keeping at team meetings as required
  • Logistics support as needed such as meeting arrangement, ordering supplies
  • Support interdepartmental or cross functional projects
  • Must maintain strict confidentiality on sensitive issues
  • Other duties as assigned


Required Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree or High school diploma/GED and two to four (2-4) years of office administrative work experience
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Be self-directed and motivated
  • Strong customer focus, reliable work ethic and integrity


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) experience/ duties preferred, but not required.


Functional Description

Provides administrative and clerical support to relieve department managers or staff of administrative details. May coordinate messages, appointments, information to callers, file maintenance, department office supplies and mail. Researches, compiles and proofs word processing assignments. Operates automated office equipment. May be assigned to various functional areas of the company.

Functional/Business Knowledge

  • Moderate understanding of general job aspects and some understanding of the detailed aspects of the job.
  • Applies acquired job and company knowledge of policies and procedures to complete semi-routine tasks.


Scope

  • Work at this level requires following standardized methods and under immediate supervision on assignments that are semi-routine in nature.
  • Follows pre-established guidelines and procedures with minimal choice as to method of performance of the work.
  • Has contact with employees at other levels within the company. Information exchanged is generally non-complex.


Judgement

  • Normally follows established procedures on routine work, requires instructions only on new assignments.
  • Works under close supervision.

  • Typically requires a minimum of 2-4 years of related experience and a High School diploma/certificate or equivalent.


Workplace Type

  • The Workplace Type for this role is Assigned Desk. Based on the nature of your role you will have an assigned desk or office located at a Dexcom site and should plan to be onsite approximately 4-5 days per week.
