Capgemini is looking for a high-touch, passionate and self-motivated senior manager with 10+ years of Technology Consulting or Utilities Industry leadership experience focused on defining and implementing Smart Grid solutions.
The role will be responsible for contributing to the sale and delivery of technology consulting projects, in pursuit of growing our Smart Grid services. The individual would be expected to lead teams of technology professionals that will deliver world class services to our clients. Other responsibilities will include contributing to the development of offerings specific and unique to Capgemini.
The candidate would be expected to foster client relationships, work with Capgemini capabilities to help clients meet their business objectives, and to operationally manage the delivery and budget of projects.
Location: Houston (preferred) or willing to relocate to the Houston area. Secondary hub cities may be considered, such as Philadelphia, NYC, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Atlanta or Chicago.
The manager will be responsible for the following key activities:
- Influence strategy for growing existing base of Smart Grid related consulting work in EUC, including key offerings development
- Work with Capgemini Business Lines to create joint ownership, targets, and execution plans when projects have multiple business lines participating (e.g. Capgemini Engineering, Insights and Data, Invent, etc.)
- Sell and deliver Smart Grid and Utilities transformation consulting projects
- Support marketing activities, e.g. publications
- Foster careers for team members
Requirements:
- Strong Utilities industry and Smart Grid domain experience
- Experience leading Smart Grid and utilities technology consulting engagements
- Entrepreneurial mindset with ambition to grow the business
- Experience leading technology focused capability assessments, software / hardware vendor assessments, system architecture and implementation roadmaps
- Experience working with major Smart Grid solution vendors (e.g. ITRON, Schneider Electric, Auto-Grid, etc)
- Experience leading large scale digital programs as a part of a transformation program (e.g. digital factories, multi-product lines / trains / squads),
- Good understanding of software lifecycle development methodologies - Agile, Hybrid and Waterfall
- Effective presentation style - ability to summarize into key business impacts
- External marketing experience is a plus (e.g. supporting industry round tables, publishing or co-authoring articles, speaking at conferences, etc.)
- Experience guiding teams of 10+
