The candidate will support Global Atlantic's Operations teams across Operational Risk Management, Regulatory & Audit Management, and Anti-Fraud Operations. We are looking for someone who is driven, interested in risk management, regulatory compliance, and fraud prevention, has strong attention to detail, and possesses solid analytical skills. Successful candidates typically excel in a dynamic work environment and can take on a diverse set of responsibilities while delivering quality results. This role receives a moderate level of guidance and direction and is ideal for someone building foundational expertise in these areas. 


This role requires collaboration and interaction with employees at all levels of the organization. A successful candidate must demonstrate effective interpersonal skills, strong written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. RESPONSIBILITIES:

Operations Risk Management 

  • Analyze and optimize Risk Management processes to improve the overall Risk Management function 
  • Work collaboratively with Risk Owners to develop opportunities to improve operational excellence 
  • Assist in organizing, coordinating, and documenting outcomes of various committees and working groups (presentations, meeting minutes, etc.) 
  • Participate in investigation of risk events (instances of materialized operational risk) 
  • Assist with analysis of new regulations affecting the Risk Management function 
  • Support data gathering in support of regular Risk Reporting as well as Research and Benchmark Analysis activities 
  • Assist Risk Management team across all areas of operations risk management 
  • Ability to run small to medium scale projects that have a regulatory and/or audit aspect 

Regulatory & Audit Management 

  • Support regulatory requests and initiatives with impact to operations and business partners within GAFG 
  • Support audit requests by conducting analysis, research, and documentation on requested data 
  • Support audits of existing regulatory requirements to ensure continued compliance 
  • Provide data for reporting and trending from the audit process 
  • Conduct thorough research and effectively communicate findings 
  • Collect data gathering activities and package for requestors 
  • Execute any newly implemented state regulatory requirements and oversight activities 
  • Collect data needed to support team key performance indicators 

Anti-Fraud Operations 

  • Support the development and execution of fraud detection and prevention programs across Operations 
  • Assist in monitoring transactional data and operational processes for indicators of potentially fraudulent activity, including suspicious claims, policy manipulation, and unauthorized transactions 
  • Assist in the investigation and documentation of suspected fraud cases, coordinating with Compliance, Legal, Special Investigations Unit (SIU), and external partners as appropriate 
  • Help maintain fraud risk indicators, red-flag triggers, and escalation protocols 
  • Support research on emerging fraud trends, schemes, and regulatory requirements related to insurance fraud 
  • Assist in the preparation of Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) and other required fraud-related regulatory filings 
  • Support fraud awareness training and communications for Operations staff and business partners 

Shared Responsibilities 

  • Create and maintain excellent working relationships with internal GAFG partners and external TPA partners 
  • Prepare and deliver communications on key service indicators and initiatives 

 QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Solves problems in straightforward situations; analyzes possible solutions using technical experience, judgment, and precedents

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software 
  • Strong relationship-building skills 
  • Comfortable interacting with all levels of employees throughout the company

  • 3+ years of industry experience; Life/Annuity experience or TPA vendor management preferred 
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience 
  • Possesses and displays excellent verbal and written communication with the ability to convey information in a clear and concise manner 
  • Strong level of adaptability, work ethic, and high level of personal integrity and accountability 
  • Experience or familiarity with fraud investigation, anti-fraud programs, or regulatory compliance is a plus 
  • Occasional travel required

This is the expected annual base salary range for this position. Actual salaries may vary based on factors, such as skill, experience, and qualification for the role. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, based on factors such as individual and team performance.  Base Salary Range - $60,000 to $75,000
