As the Operations Manager within the Commercial Term Lending group, you will lead a high-performing team of loan coordinators through coaching, mentoring, and training. You will promote quality standards, exemplify the firm's core values, and advise business partners on strategic decisions and change initiatives. Your focus will be on implementing efficient processes, strengthening controls, and building strong relationships to reduce cycle times and support continuous improvement. Additionally, you will oversee the rollout of control initiatives and provide expert guidance on workflow, file quality, and policy compliance.
Job responsibilities:
- Develop and lead a high performing team of loan coordinators through coaching, mentoring, employee engagement, real-time feedback, and training.
- Drive excellent quality metrics and set the example for how we do business according to firm's core values.
- Advise and influence Business Partners on key business decisions and major change initiatives.
- Lead and/or participate in projects and initiatives to drive the department and business forward.
- Implement and carry out processes and procedures with an eye for operational and cost efficiency.
- Build relationships with all CTL business partners in an effort to reduce cycle time, strengthen controls, and remain focused on continuous pursuit of operational improvement.
- Support the rollout of control initiatives.
- Act as subject matter expert on workflow, prioritization, file quality, entity documentation, policies and procedures.
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:
- Minimum of 3 years of multifamily and commercial lending operations experience
- Minimum of 1 year of direct supervisory experience in loan operations or related financial services, including team performance and development
- Proven experience managing teams, including people development, workload balancing, conflict resolution, and performance management
- Demonstrated ability to proactively manage and prioritize daily functions, exercising sound judgment in a fast-paced, changing environment
- Strong understanding of Commercial Term Lending (Commercial Real Estate) products and processes
- In-depth knowledge of entity documentation, including LLCs, Partnerships, Trusts, and Corporations
- Experience training new employees and providing real-time feedback
- Solid knowledge of government regulations related to residential and commercial lending
- Track record of delivering outstanding quality results
- Experience serving as a business subject matter expert on projects
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, decision-making, and collaboration skills, with proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook, and Access
