This position provides accounting support across DEME business entities in France while interacting with the accounting team lead and Finance Manager France.Your responsibilities
- Reporting towards the accounting team lead
- Is responsible for the correct processing and booking of incoming invoices, general journals and bank, for his/her perimeter
- Reconciliation of general ledgers.
- Assist with Tax and VAT compliance
- Assists in activities to maintain the organization’s general ledgers and financial records.
- Assists in timely quarterly and annual closing activities.
- Prepares quarter-end journal entries.
- Assist during quarterly reporting process.
- Prepares input for the annual financial statements.
- Assist in preparation of financial statements and attends to audit related matters during the statutory audit process.
- Works with the accounting team lead to ensure a clean and timely year-end audit.

Your profile
- Passion for finance/accounting
- Bachelor’s degree with accounting major or related field
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in accounting related function is a plus
- Sound knowledge and application of general and analytical accounting principles
- You can express yourself in English and French. The knowledge of other languages is an asset
- Hands-on mindset, dynamic with an ability to take initiative, solve problems and deliver added value
- Team player
- Modest and professional attitude, acting with integrity
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Knowledge of an international account software or ERP system, e.g. Microsoft D365, is a plus
