Job Description:
We are seeking a strategic and results-driven leader to define and execute the digital sales go-to-market (GTM) strategy for North West Europe, aligned with HPE’s global growth objectives. This role drives the transformation from traditional sales approaches to digitally enabled, customer-centric engagement models, identifying market opportunities across hybrid cloud, storage, compute, AI, and related hybrid cloud solutions. The ideal candidate will lead a multi-country, multi-disciplinary team and champion data-driven, AI-powered selling motions that accelerate revenue growth and customer value.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Define and implement the digital sales GTM strategy and coverage for NWE, ensuring alignment with HPE’s global growth objectives.
- Lead transformation from traditional sales methods to digitally enabled, customer-centric engagement models.
- Identify and prioritize market opportunities across hybrid cloud, storage, compute, AI, and hybrid cloud solutions; translate insights into actionable plans and investments.
Sales Execution & Performance
- Own digital sales order targets for the region and drive consistent attainment or overachievement.
- Oversee pipeline generation and conversion through inside sales, digital demand generation, and partner channels.
- Leverage HPE’s AI-driven insights, CRM data, and account-based marketing tools to optimize prospecting, qualification, and sales cycles.
- Develop and manage strategic top account plans for top commercial digital customers, ensuring continued growth and customer satisfaction.
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead and inspire a multi-country team of digital sales managers, digital sales reps, digital presales, and virtual sales specialists.
- Foster a high-performance culture with clear KPIs, coaching, and development programs; promote succession planning and internal mobility.
- Promote cross-functional collaboration with Marketing, Partner Sales, Solution Architects, and other relevant teams.
- Ensure alignment and standardization across countries; manage stakeholder relationships with country leadership and drive effective coaching for the direct team.
Digital Engagement & Innovation
- Drive adoption of digital selling platforms (e.g., HPE GreenLake Cloud Services, e-commerce portals, partner platforms).
- Champion data analytics and AI to improve forecasting accuracy, targeting, and sales effectiveness.
- Introduce innovative digital customer experiences, including webinars, virtual demos, and interactive solution workshops.
Customer & Partner Engagement
- Build and nurture C-level relationships with strategic commercial customers, guiding their digital transformation journeys.
- Strengthen relationships with HPE channel partners to scale digital sales reach and collaboration.
- Ensure high customer satisfaction through a digital-first, always-on engagement model.
Qualifications
- University or Bachelor's degree, advanced university or Master's degree preferred.
- 10+ years of sales industry experience, preferably in digital sales.
- Strong business acumen, demonstrated results in growing a digital sales function or expanding a market.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to define a regional digital GTM strategy and translate it into actionable plans and investments.
- Digital Sales Expertise: Deep experience in digital demand generation, inside sales, ABM, and AI-driven sales optimization.
- Leadership: Proven track record of leading multi-country, cross-functional teams; coaching and succession planning.
- Customer Mindset: Customer-centric approach with experience in building long-term C-level relationships and guiding digital transformations.
- Collaboration: Strong ability to partner with Marketing, Partner Sales, Solution Architects, and country leadership.
- Change Management: Experience driving transformation from traditional sales models to digital engagement approaches.
- Communication: Excellent stakeholder management and executive-level communication skills.
Location
- Primary location is in Barcelona, Spain with expectation of being in the HPE office five days a week.
