Job Description

National Industry Marketing Manager

The National Industry Marketing Manager is a part of the Solutions & Industry (S&I) Marketing Team, a group of colleagues that are tightly aligned and connected to the business strategy and operate as a unified face of marketing to the practice. The S&I Team, in close collaboration with other functional areas within Marketing, has a collective focus on the creation and execution of strategic marketing plans and programs that enhance Grant Thornton's brand reputation and that contributes to revenue growth.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Driven by a strong understanding of Grant Thornton's business and industry growth objectives, the National Industry Marketing Manager oversees the development and implementation of the national industry marketing strategy for the industries they are aligned that increase brand relevance through the marketing of solutions tied to industry issues and client needs.

  • Build industry marketing programs that support specific marketing objectives across different channels and segments that align to the overall industry marketing strategy.
  • Lead the execution of marketing programs from start to finish, in tight collaboration with marketing colleagues and stakeholders leveraging the established internal processes.
  • Market through various channels and segments.
  • Evaluate the impact of marketing programs in achieving their stated objectives.
  • Leverage marketing research and consumer insights in support of improved marketing strategy and communications.
  • Work with marketing team colleagues, other internal stakeholders, and external agencies and vendors.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or related field.
  • 7+ years of marketing/growth experience in B2B environment.
  • Proven experience/success developing, implementing, and managing complex, integrated marketing programs.
  • Proven experience working in a complex, matrixed environment.
  • Proven experience collaborating with sales to drive demand and growth.
  • Exposure to digital marketing.
  • Experience with customer relationship management systems, marketing automation and campaign management software.
  • Thorough understanding of various marketing channels and relevancy to achieve stated goals.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to initiate and lead crucial conversations and influence strategies and decisions of stakeholders and colleagues.
  • Excellent project management, critical thinking, and organizational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Highly collaborative and able to work within and through a team to achieve stated goals.
  • Consistently sought out for advice by leadership, business stakeholders and colleagues.
  • Innovative and creative in the development of work product and when solving problems.
  • Actively learn and adopt best practices from across the team.
  • Good client service and skill interfacing with stakeholders.
  • Work well under pressure and adheres to tight deadlines.
  • Advanced skills with Microsoft applications: Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • The ability to quickly learn other programs.

  • Benefits for internship positions: Grant Thornton interns are eligible to participate in the firm's medical, dental and vision insurance programs and the firm's employee assistance program.
