Responsibilities
- Setup and facilitate Mocap and Pcap recording sessions, including helping to set up the capture volume and preparing actors for capture.
- Deliver and export clean mocap data to animation teams
- Work closely with other teams to help deliver the highest quality Pcap (including for instance Machine Learning, Cinematic, and DevOps)
- Help develop Mocap and Pcap processes
- Writing and updating documentation
- Assisting in the upkeep and maintenance of capture facilities and equipment (including hardware and software updates, washing, drying and storing mocap suits, etc.)
Requirements
- Experience taking part in motion capture recording sessions (of any level)
- Good knowledge of Performance capture software (Vicon, OptiTrack, StretchSense, Maya, MotionBuilder)
- Readiness to experiment with new technologies and software to meet development requirements and limitations
- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills with a keen attention to detail
- Good communication skills in spoken and written English
- You are a team player and able to support other members of the performance team to conduct efficient capture sessions and provide pre and post-shoot support.
- Experience providing some degree of post-shoot support (of any level)
- This is a full-time, on-site role, requiring your presence in the office to support collaboration and creativity.
Nice to have
- Experience taking part in motion capture recording sessions, specifically using the Vicon capture system, within a professional environment (as opposed to educational or training environment)
- Experience providing some degree of post-shoot support (including mocap data cleaning within a professional environment)
- Knowledge of Perforce
- Knowledge of programming languages (C++, C#, Python)
- Willingness to chip in and help out the team outside of your usual skillset or job description
