Advantest America, a leading Semiconductor Test and Measurement Company, is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Intern for the summer of 2024 to assist project technical leads with all aspects of mechanical design and product development of semiconductor automated test equipment. This engineering intern will primarily work with Solidworks to design mechanical parts and assemblies, generate associated drawings and documentation, perform FEA and tolerance analysis to evaluate mechanical designs. This engineering intern will also assist project technical leads in executing DoEs during the investigation phase of product development and validation activities during the qualification of products. This position is located at our headquarters in San Jose, CA.
Responsibilities include:
- Assist project technical leads with mechanical design support, including 3d part and assembly modeling, part and assembly drawing generation.
- Assist project technical leads with executing DoEs.
- Assist project technical leads with the executing of design validation and product qualification activities. This includes hands-on activities such as building and testing prototypes.
- Assist project technical leads with initiating and executing FEA in CAD.
Skills Required:
- Basic experience with Solidworks
- Hands-on experience (working with tools, etc.)
- Knowledge of error analysis
- Designing and executing DoEs
Requirements:
- Pursuing a BS in Mechanical Engineering
