ALSO is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Intern who’s excited to work in a fast-paced startup environment and eager to help design and develop the next generation of ALSO vehicles and components.
What You Will Do
Assist with hands-on prototyping, including 3D printing, basic machining, part finishing, and assembling early hardware for electric bikes and other small EV systems
Support mechanical testing and data acquisition, setting up instrumentation (accelerometers, load cells, thermocouples), running test plans, and organizing results.
Create and update 3D CAD models and drawings for components and sub-systems using CATIA
Participate in bike/vehicle tear-downs, assembly builds, and debug, working with engineers to identify root causes, propose fixes, and validate design changes.
What You Will Bring
Pursuing a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field with an expected graduation date in 2027.
Skilled in 3D CAD (CATIA preferred) and familiar with FEA and tolerance analysis.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and hands-on prototyping abilities.

Preferred Experience
Experience designing or prototyping EV, e-bike, or consumer electronic components.
Exposure to GD&T, rapid prototyping methods, and design validation testing.
Comfortable with hands-on fabrication, testing equipment, or lab instrumentation.
Previous internship or project work in a startup, automotive, or mobility company.
The hourly rate for this role ranges from $30.00 to $50.00/hr, based on experience and qualifications.
