This opportunity is in our American Synthetic Rubber Company (ASRC) chemical plan in Louisville, KY. THE OPPORTUNITY

Michelin has an immediate opportunity at our American Synthetic Rubber Company (ASRC) chemical plant in Louisville, KY for a Master Planner to manage the end-to-end operational relationship with two key customers/partners to meet service commitment and improve customer satisfaction. Responsible for overseeing how data is collected, transformed, moved, and stored across systems. Ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and efficiency. Key focus areas include managing forecast requirements, overseeing order and logistics execution, and addressing customer requests. WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Customer & Order Management: Serve as the main operational contact for customers, ensuring service commitments are met, resolving issues, and managing order processing, shipment documentation, and delivery performance.
  • Demand & Supply Planning: Develop demand forecasts, align production with customer requirements, monitor inventory levels, and manage raw material supply, consumption, and accuracy.  Create and receive purchase orders (ERP) various packaging needs.
  • Performance & Process Improvement: Track key indicators, analyze variances (FMU, MUV), support Plant Controller with yearend sales by state and tax returns, and implement corrective or improvement actions to enhance supply chain efficiency.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with production, logistics, procurement, and sales teams to coordinate shipments, mitigate risks, and optimize supply chain operations.
  • Digital & Administrative Support: Lead digital transformation projects, manage data integration and validation, oversee document control, and handle off-spec and scrap material sales and reporting.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

  • Degree in data science field, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in production planning, supply chain management, or logistics—preferably in a manufacturing or chemical industry setting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office® Suite especially Excel; experience with Power Automate, ERP systems, and a readiness to learn internal platforms.
  • Strong data analysis capabilities, including trend identification and report creation.
  • Attention to detail and data accuracy
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate professionally with key stakeholders—suppliers, customers, and colleagues across all levels.
  • Proven ability to lead, collaborate, and stay organized in dynamic environments.
  • Critical thinking and process knowledge to identify bottlenecks, conduct root cause analysis, and optimize data flows.
  • Familiarity with chemical logistics and transportation regulations.
  • Knowledge of demand forecasting, inventory management, and production scheduling principles.
  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities under tight deadlines with a focus on accuracy and continuous improvement.
