So, what’s the role?

As VP of Marketing, you will be a key member of Kin’s leadership team, responsible for building and operating a world-class direct-to-consumer growth engine and making Kin a household name. You will define and lead a full-funnel, omnichannel strategy to support Kin’s core business and geographic / product expansion. This work will help deliver on our mission to provide affordable home insurance without compromising coverage, even in areas most impacted by climate change.

A day in the life could include: 

  • Lead strategy and execution to drive customer acquisition and engagement
  • Lead our lifecycle marketing team to drive customer education, engagement, renewal, and referral 
  • Create a vision for the Creative team to introduce Kin to homeowners, and leverage that creative work in our performance marketing
  • Develop a culture of testing and experimentation to innovate on how we drive acquisition, engagement, and retention
  • Set and manage budgets, roadmaps, and OKRs for the Marketing team
  • Build and develop a high-performing and engaged team with a focus on a connected, inclusive, and motivating team culture
  • Collaborate with Insurance and User Experience to explore new product offering opportunities, including market and competitive research
  • Oversee our PR and content strategy to grow our audience by educating consumers about insurance, and Kin’s differentiators

I’ve got the skills… but do I have the necessary ones?

  • 10+ years of marketing experience, with demonstrable success driving growth through performance marketing, lifecycle marketing, and brand building
  • Experience building and mentoring a highly analytical, cross-functional team managing significant paid media budgets ($10MM +) and a team of 10 or more
  • Mastery of digital growth channels, including SEO/SEM, social, programmatic, and remarketing
  • Proficiency in non-digital growth channels such as direct mail, OOH, and TV

Bonus Points:

  • Prior experience high consideration D2C products, ideally fintech or another regulated industry
  • Growth/late stage venture-backed startup experience 
  • High Level Business Development / Partnership development experience
