VP, Marketing Data and Analytics
Job Description VP, Marketing Data and Analytics: As a member of the Small Business Decision Sciences team this VP will be responsible for managing and supporting the Small Business Marketing campaign management lifecycle with targeting, sizing, business case support, modeling support, list execution support, reporting, financial assessments, forecasting and overall campaign analysis (focusing on acquisition volume and quality). This position will work directly with our clients on the design, development, implementation and tracking of their strategic marketing campaigns from an data & analytics perspective. The successful candidate will be analytically/technically strong, will have great communications skills and a collaborative and resourceful style.
- Lead partnership with one or more Stakeholders with strong understanding of business drivers and underlying data
- Collaborate with business owners to formulate quantifiable goals; advise on strategies and experimentation to achieve business goals
- Advocate for domain specific data needed to monitor performance, targeting and execution, and other analytical support for business goals
- Lead execution of KPIs, trend analysis, dashboards and analyses including segmentations, optimizations and other techniques to improve business function performance
- Collaborate across functions and LOB's to drive Analytics and Insights, and Execution
- Improve and/or assess processes and controls in support of business results
- Partner with the modeling and list execution teams as needed
- Coach and lead junior team members in campaign analysis methods and approaches.
- Build strong relationships with our clients.
Required Skills
• 6+ years of related Marketing Analytics experience
• Masters or PhD in a related field, or Bachelors with 5+ years' experience in a related discipline
• Exceptional interpersonal and collaboration skills, ability to explain complicated mathematical concepts, algorithms and data structures with an ability to influence both internal & external business partners
• Hands-on experience in delivering analytics and insights to multiple levels of management (Including Test Design, Financials, Conversion/Response Reporting, Response Analysis, Incremental Analysis, Response Profiling and Target/Segmentation Analysis)
• Tangible experience with business strategy and tactical implementation
• Proficiency in data analysis languages such as Python, SAS, R, etc.
• Proficiency in general purpose languages such as Java, C++, Scala, etc.
• Experience in Big Data platforms and related technologies such as Hadoop, Hive, Pig, Apache Spark etc.
• Experience in relational databases including proficiency in SQL
• Strong analytics, interpretive and problem solving skills
• Technical understanding of data extraction, transformation and load processing
• Experience with dynamic and interactive reporting applications (i.e. Tableau)
• Consulting orientation ability to influence both internal & external business partners
• Strong written and oral presentation / communication skills - the ability to convey complex information simply and clearly to senior business leaders
