Job Description:

Role Summary/Purpose:

Working collaboratively with the business development, pricing, IT, and credit organizations, this individual will develop and implement strategies and tactics to achieve Synchrony new business growth metrics as well responding to RFPs to win and launch new deals.

This position is remote, where you have the option to work from home. On occasion we may request for you to commute to our nearest office for in person engagement activities such as team meetings, training and culture events. Essential Responsibilities:
  • Lead marketing efforts from prospect research, RFP response development, ideation, value prop recommendations, capability demos and portfolio growth drivers for all new prospects in pipeline as well as deal renewals.
  • Engage across Marketing, Credit and IT functions ensuring SYF is telling it's best story.
  • Develop recommended product constructs, value propositions, and go to market strategies.
  • Forecast new accounts by channel and product, sales per account and overall sales plan for term of deal based on anchored and fact-based assumptions.
  • Work with the Studio BD Team/Outside Creative Agency to execute creative delivery of key presentations and other materials.
  • Manage tight project deadlines to ensure seamless execution.
  • From time to time have ability to present directly to prospect and internally to senior SLT.
  • Maintain core presentation pages/decks that can be indexed and referenced as needed for key meetings and updates.
  • Upon notification of program win, assist in initial marketing program launch activities until the program client team is hired and in place.
  • Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree or in lieu of a degree, a high school and 11+ years of credit card marketing.
  • 7+ years marketing experience, preferably in credit card or financial services.
    • Demonstrated growth marketing leadership skills (analytic and creative) with significant exposure to consumer facing programs/products.
    • Ability to work in a heavy deadline driven environment
    • Detail orientation
    • Collaborative style and approach with comfort working in a matrixed, decentralized structure.
  • Ability to travel as needed

Desired Characteristics:
  • Experience with PLCC and co-brand products.
  • Outstanding communications, relationship building, influencing and collaboration skills.
  • Strategic thinking with ability to develop and implement actionable plans to drive business results.
  • Consumer finance experience and related industry experience. Familiarity with value proposition and/or new product development processes, from concept innovation through go-to-market execution.
  • Proven ability to partner and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Outstanding presentation skills - written and oral.
  • Demonstrated project management skills.
  • Strong problem solving skills with a demonstrated ability to evaluate situations using multiple sources of information.

Eligibility Requirements:
  • You must be 18 years or older
  • You must have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process
  • You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.
  • New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months' time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 24 months' time in position before they can post. All internal employees must have at least a "consistently meets expectations" performance rating and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don't meet the time in position or performance requirement).

The salary range for this position is 85,000.00 - 170,000.00 USD Annual

Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA and Metro NY and some positions are bonus eligible.
