Location: At GoDaddy the future of work looks different for each team. Some teams work in the office full-time, others have a hybrid arrangement (they work remotely some days and in the office some days) and some work entirely remotely. This is a remote position, so you’ll be working remotely from your home. Once we can safely travel, you may occasionally visit a GoDaddy office to meet with your team for events or offsites.

This position is not eligible to be performed in Alaska, Colorado, Mississippi, North Dakota, or the Virgin Islands.

What you'll get to do...

As the Vice President of Marketing for Site and Customer Marketing, you’ll lead the critical functions of GoDaddy.com and our Customer Marketing communication channels, globally. You’ll be accountable for driving the strategy, product development, engineering, planning and execution as well as the merchandising and marketing team for GoDaddy.com. Specific to Customer Marketing, the responsibility is similar in that the strategy, product, engineering, planning and execution sits with this leader. These two areas of focus represent a significant contribution to GoDaddy’s P&L globally thus this leader must be strategic as well as operational and have a demonstrated track record of commercial success.

The ideal candidate for this role will have robust experience in marketing and data-driven decision making as well as have the technical expertise to size, scope, measure, direct and prioritize the efforts required to drive progress on GoDaddy.com and our Customer Marketing channels, globally. Their team includes Engineering, Product Management, Merchandising and Marketing to deliver customer-centric experiences that deliver exceptional financial results. To deliver results, they must have an experimentation mindset, an ability to synthesize data, prioritize with the customer and business in mind and lead across multiple markets and audiences with a focus on scale. This role reports to the Chief Marketing Officer and supports all Business Units, including US Independents, International Independents, Partners and our Domain Registry and Investor audiences.

Accelerate progress on GoDaddy.com to deliver exceptional customer and financial results: This leader must bring their customer-centric, product management mentality to drive continuous development and improvement on GoDaddy.com. This leader and their team are accountable for iCVR (incremental Conversion) and PAR (page advance rate) as their predominant KPIs and they must deliver these results while continuing to evolve GoDaddy.com to serve the evolving needs of our customers, as we integrate new products and create seamless learn and buy flows across desktop and mobile experiences.

Further the vision for GoDaddy.com and develop the path to delivery: As the leader for GoDaddy.com, you will be responsible for aligning your Engineering, Marketing and the requisite partners teams across UX, Design, and Analytics together. This team must establish how GoDaddy.com evolves across devices to deliver both to customer’s needs and to business expectations. This vision will inform iterative improvements to the site, our testing roadmap and our technical priorities.

Maintain the culture of testing and learning to optimize the customer experience and deliver business results: Continue to iterate our approach to governance and prioritization to accelerate how we test and learn on GoDaddy.com as well as partner with our analytics teams to create more automated ways to optimize real-time results. Enable teams with context on merchandising best practices resulting from test learnings.

Accelerate our engage with Existing Customers: Both GoDaddy.com and our Customer Marketing channels are critical surface areas to engage existing customers who we know well. This leader has an opportunity to better leverage data and customer signals to improve how we use GoDaddy.com as well as email and messaging as well as in-product surface areas to drive a deeper relationship with our customers as they seek growth.

Implement and optimize our Customer Marketing tools: This leader is accountable to further our personalization and CRM capabilities as we migrate from RedPoint to SalesForce Marketing Cloud in 2022 and continue to optimize post implementation. In addition to the technical work required to implement and optimize our Customer Marketing channels, this leader and their team, including Engineering, Channel Marketing and Operations, is accountable for the ongoing strategic development of this channel to drive engagement and timely upsell throughout our existing customer’s lifecycle.

Provide Go-To-Market (GTM) Leadership: As the lead for GoDaddy.com and the Customer Marketing channels, you will serve in a critical P&L role and partner with Go-to-Market teams. With 21M global customers, a deep partnership is required with the BU teams to understand points of commonality on our GTM approach to drive scale as well as where bespoke opportunities are warranted based on business impact.

Your experience should include...

  • 15+ years of leadership experience in ecommerce and customer marketing, with specific experience in small business/consumer technology-driven brands preferred.
  • Extensive experience and proven track record of leading Global marketing, product and technical teams.
  • Proven track record of building productive working relationships with customers, internal stakeholders, and external agency partners.
  • Experience leading marketing teams, ideally across a mix of paid, owned and earned, in that this leader will drive the strategy for much of the customer experience pre-customer acquisition through retention.
  • Exceptional analytical ability, with track record of leading teams through a data driven, test and learn mindset.
  • Superior leadership qualities and an ability to develop a ‘one-team’ mentality across teams based on vision, communication and influence.
  • Excellent written, presentation and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and simplify.
  • An innate bias toward action and a strong self-starter.
  • Experience working in a remote, matrixed, cross-functional environment
