THE OPPORTUNITY:

At Salesloft, our VP Product Marketing is pivotal to our company’s success.  You will be a key member of our fast-growing and high-performing leadership team within Salesloft, collaborating closely with our partners in sales, product, services, and the rest of marketing.

In addition to working with amazing colleagues who exemplify our ‘team over self’ core value, you will also have the opportunity to develop strategies to create the vision for the Sales Engagement market and our clear leadership position within it.  You will report to the CMO and be a member of the Salesloft Leadership Group.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

We are seeking an experienced results-oriented individual that will focus on leading our product, solutions, and vertical go-to-market strategy as well as competitive insights, and pricing and packaging strategies. You will align with product leadership on launching and positioning the Salesloft Modern Revenue Workspace™. Your team will work arm-in-arm with sales enablement to train and support sales motions across multiple segments. Your team will know the competition better than they know themselves and provide competitive sales strategies to increase win rates. You’ll also work with leadership to research go-to-market strategies including evaluating, prioritizing and recommending  new growth markets.  

On a day-to-day basis, you will work closely with your team and marketing teammates, partnering cross-functionally with sales, product, partners and services.  You will:

  • Shape the go-to-market strategy by leveraging industry data and collaborating with internal stakeholders to align on strategies to drive growth.
  • Develop and deliver value propositions and industry vision for Sales Engagement and Revenue Tech.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of cross-departmental prioritization frameworks that work in parallel with the product roadmap and sales enablement priorities.
  • Partner with sales enablement to train and arm our revenue team with impactful sales tools.
  • You will be called upon to present to leadership and the board of directors on strategic investments and the competitive landscape.
  • Manage various stakeholders with clarity and objectivity, understanding when to be bold, when to pivot and how to keep resources aligned with executing the strategy.
  • Champion the customer experience and integrate customer needs and values into the Salesloft story.
  • Work closely with demand generation supporting campaign creation and execution.
  • Initiate analyst relationships and ensure category leadership.

THE TEAM:

Our Salesloft’s product marketing team is seasoned and up-and-coming marketing professionals who are all aligned on one mission: to be the clear leader in Sales Engagement. 

The product marketing team consists of results oriented SaaS marketing professionals with a strong mentality and desire to win in our market. They understand our buyers (sales, revenue leaders, revenue operations) and users (sales & customer facing teams) and can partner closely with internal teams and work closely with our customers and prospects. The professionals on our product marketing team share a few common traits: they are smart, analytical, creative problem solvers, self-motivated, ambitious, and passionate about helping our teams evangelize Salesloft in the Sales Engagement market.  They are also the epitome of our core values - Customers First. Team Over Self. Focus on Results. Bias Towards Action. Glass Half Full.

THE SKILL SET:

  • 10+ years of work experience (or 7+ years post-MBA), preferably in SaaS Product Marketing or Product Management.  Previous experience in management consulting, private equity, or tech strategy/ops function or similar is a plus
  • Experience managing and leading a team of at least 10 with strong people development and leadership skills; able to build and drive extended and virtual teams
  • Must have experience working on go-to-market or product related strategic and operational topics
  • Experience working on large strategic initiatives from framing the problem, conducting research / analysis, building business and operational plans, and driving execution through to success
  • Strong communicator, able to convey complex ideas in a clear, concise manner both verbally and in writing; comfort in business and technical discussions, with an attention to detail
  • Collaborative problem solver effective at building relationships, and influencing others; experience working with senior executives across various functions
  • Strong team player who is also an independent strategic thinker but also able to execute tactically
  • Self-starter who enjoys working in a fast-paced, collaborative, and innovative high-growth environment
  • Software industry domain expertise, and the ability to understand complex technology problems
  • Sales and/or marketing technology experience is a plus
  • Startup and scale up experience in going from $100M to $500M+ ARR 


WITHIN ONE MONTH, YOU’LL:

  • Attend Salesloft’s New Hire Virtual Orientation, where you will learn our Salesloft story and understand what makes our “Lofters” unique
  • Join the Salesloft Sales Bootcamp where you will learn about our product, market, customers, buyer personas, sales process and competitive landscape.
  • Begin 1:1’s with your manager and team, start building your 30-60-90 plan
  • Align with your team’s OKRs (Objectives and Key Results) and develop an action plan for future quarters.
  • Meet with as many leaders as you can in marketing, product leadership, sales leadership and customer services leadership to understand their roles and how you can make an impact
  • Talk to customers and study call recordings to understand customers needs

WITHIN THREE MONTHS, YOU’LL:

  • Learn our product and solution offerings deeply and become demo certified
  • Understand the Sales Engagement market and players, and our differentiation
  • Start leading cross-functional initiative collaborating with marketing, product, sales and customer service
  • Establish your teams priorities and 6 month project plans

WITHIN TWELVE MONTHS, YOU'LL: 

  • Be considered a top-performing member of the Salesloft  leadership team
  • Be seen as a role model leader exemplifying our core values and inspiring others across Salesloft
  • Be seen as an industry expert and called upon by the revenue team for your support in analyst briefings and customer calls
  • Have become an internal champion and go-to resource for identification and execution planning for company growth levers
