Join Medtronic Spine and Biologics as an Upstream Senior Program Marketing Specialist with the Marketing Operations Team. In this role you will collaborate with HCP customers, marketers in Upstream and Downstream Marketing, Supply Chain, Packaging, Legal, Regulatory, IT, Finance and other functional areas, to understand and define voice of the customer, voice of the business, and create strategic solutions to challenging business problems.

The Spine and Biologics business is headquartered in Memphis, TN. This role is open to remote within the US for well qualified candidates.

A Day in the Life

  • Develop business case(s) for strategic programs for the business, defining value to customer and value to business
  • Collect VOC from surgeon customers, hospital partners, and other stakeholders to understand existing inventory challenges associated with our products
  • Attend society trade shows to better understand market trends and meet with customers
  • Partner with cross functional teams to develop novel solutions for instrument inventory challenges that meet our customer's needs
  • Partner with downstream marketing to understand impact of solutions on business
  • Ability to analyze data to make data-driven decisions
  • Partner with IT to develop data collection solutions as needed
  • Ability to learn and understand technical aspects of procedures/therapies from basic science, anatomy and read published clinical articles and interpret results.
  • Develop marketing deliverables as defined by Medtronic's global commercialization process such as Marketing Materials
  • Generate strategic pricing model for identified solution
  • Collaborate with key surgeons on development ideas, existing product improvements, and data collection
  • Collect VOC and VOB for new and existing offerings
  • Manage day to day responsibilities in a Global capacity.

General responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned

 

  • Formulates and reviews corporate short and long-range plans, goals, and objectives for specific product or product line.
  • Determines the profitability and viability of new offerings.
  • Develops production and marketing strategies and tactics to ensure effective product placement relative to market opportunity
  • Works with other functions to finalize product specifications.
  • Serves as technical support, demonstrating products and troubleshooting product issues.
  • Travel 25-30%, primarily domestic

 

Must Have: Minimum Requirements
To be considered, these minimum requirements must be evident on your resume:

 

 

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 4+ years of relevant experience in marketing, engineering, clinical, science or technology, or 2+ years of relevant experience with a Master's degree

Nice to Have

 

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, or Science, Technology, Engineering, Math or related field
  • MBA in business or marketing preferred
  • Experience in inventory management, supply chain, or operations is a plus
  • Ability to multi-task while working in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong collaboration skills working with various stakeholders across multiple organizations
  • Experience learning technical products quickly
  • Strong oral and written communication and presentation skills: ability to convey complex information in a simple and effective manner
  • Knowledge of Orthopedics and/or Spine a plus
  • Experience in an upstream marketing organization
