Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 1.5 years of work experience in management consulting, investment banking, business strategy, or marketing strategy and planning.



Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with analytical problem-solving, quantitative analysis, and communicating findings to executive management.
  • Experience working in complex organizations and across boundaries.
  • Experience developing organizational relationships.
  • Ability to work in a fast-changing and ambiguous environment using an entrepreneurial approach.
  • Ability to develop and understand business strategy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.



About the job

Whether you're on a consumer product (like Gmail, Search, Maps, Chrome, Android) or a business product (Google Ads, AdSense, Google Marketing Platform, Analytics), you take part in a complete marketing experience as you lead every facet of the product's journey. From determining positioning, naming, competitive analysis, feature prioritization and external communications, you help shape the voice of the product and help it grow a consumer base. This means you work with a cross-functional team across Sales, corporate communications, legal, webmasters, product development, engineering and more. In this role, you'll be involved with product marketing strategy from beginning to end.

As a Strategy and Operations Associate, you will set the strategy and direction for YouTube Marketing across our major consumer products with a focus on Short Form Video (i.e. YouTube Shorts). In this role, you will partner with Marketing leadership to establish strategic direction and getting broad exposure to YouTube's business. You will work with teams across Google/YouTube and partner cross-functionally with key leaders across Marketing, Product, Finance, and People Operations to solve challenges, drive high priority projects, and achieve greater operational excellence within Marketing. In this role, you will become a trusted source of advice and an essential partner to executives across products.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with leadership to set YouTube Marketing's strategic plans globally and articulate Marketing's most critical priorities and corresponding investment.
  • Partner across YouTube's products to develop solutions to strategic challenges and initiatives.
  • Establish priorities for Marketing and conduct data-driven business analytics to support/recommend strategy.
  • Improve marketing efficiency and effectiveness by applying a rigorous approach to Marketing's operational processes.
  • Evaluate marketing performance/impact and make data-driven recommendations for how to adjust approach and reach goals.
