The Finance Team includes Finance Business Partnership, Accounting, Finance Operations, Financial Systems, Internal Audit, Tax, Treasury, and Investor Relations teams. Together, the team partners with leadership to provide insights, information, and guidance to make strategic and operational decisions, inform investors about our business model and progress, and ensure the company is financially healthy and consistently meeting our reporting obligations.
We’re looking for a Strategic Sourcing Specialist to join our Finance team! As a member of the Business Partner Finance team, you’ll play a key role in creating commodity sourcing strategies, identifying best-in-class suppliers, and building relationships that deliver value to Snap Inc. Working from our Santa Monica Headquarters, you’ll work alongside our global business partners to develop relationships with suppliers that’ll help us scale, as well as save on expenses.
What you’ll do:
Build collaborative relationships with internal business partners with solid understanding of their strategies and priorities
Identify opportunities to drive supplier innovation, consolidation, and cost savings
Create and implement commodity strategies that engage the right suppliers
Help instill a procurement discipline across the company and be seen as a key finance business partner
Lead marketing sourcing projects and end-to-end RFx services that generate value, including performance of requirements and data gathering with business partners through to project closure
Lead contract negotiations and the contract negotiation process securing advantageous contracts
Provide internal business partners with clear insights into cost drivers, risks, and opportunities
Help build out diverse supplier program and develop plans to achieve diverse supplier spend goals

Expertise in sourcing, negotiating, contracting, and supplier management
Excellent negotiating abilities

Ability to make data driven recommendations and decisions
Demonstrates a solid knowledge of the Strategic Sourcing process by exercising good independent judgement of when to use specific tools/process components
Demonstrates expertise with Microsoft Office and Google Docs
Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience
2+ years of strategic sourcing experience with an emphasis on marketing, agency relationships, market research, and professional services.
Preferred qualifications:
Advanced degree preferred
