Opportunity
We’re looking for an experienced B2B product marketer who will help drive Route’s go-to-market strategy in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. You are a strategic thinker, the “go to” expert on Route’s product, the target audience, and target market. You are passionate about collaborating with world-class sales, product, marketing, support, and customer success professionals to make product launches seamless and to set everyone up for success. You develop impactful messaging and positioning that helps you create delightful content for merchants and for the sales team. Navigating ambiguity and finding scrappy solutions comes naturally to you. You’re excited to help build processes that will help us scale the product marketing / go-to-market functions at Route.
Responsibilities
- Become an expert on the market - know the competition, anticipate their moves, identify competitive advantages and articulate simply and clearly where Route wins.
- Become an expert on and an advocate for our merchants - know their pain points, what makes them tick, which segments we can win and why.
- Become an expert on Route products - understand product strengths and limitations; know what we’re building and why it’s valuable to merchants,
- Build strong partnerships with product managers; influence the roadmap and own GTM strategy for new feature / product launches (pricing, packaging, positioning, messaging, enablement etc.)
- Become an internal and external evangelist for your areas of focus - help other teams anticipate launch impacts, help them get excited for what’s coming, and arm them with the tools they need to be successful. Manage expectations upstream, downstream, and cross-functionally.
- Develop impactful messaging and positioning for your areas of focus, translate that messaging and positioning into compelling collateral, and collaborate with cross-functional partners in sales, marketing, customer success, customer marketing and support to distribute it through various channels.
- Identify opportunities to build and capture demand for products and features at every stage of the funnel - through content, events, collateral, digital marketing, etc., driving through to product adoption.
- Hold yourself accountable to a high standard of success - identify what success looks like early and check in often to evaluate progress.
Qualifications
- 5-7 years of product marketing experience.
- Deep understanding of B2B product marketing.
- Experience driving strategy for and executing against impactful product and feature launches.
- Strong collaborator and communicator, with a track record of building productive cross-functional relationships.
- Exceptional writer and storyteller.
- Problem solver with a bias toward urgency and action.
- Results-oriented mentality w/ ability to align stakeholders expectations and identify what success looks like.

- SaaS and ecommerce experience.
- Experience marketing to up-market customers (large/enterprise brands).
