Summary
Northwestern Mutual (NM) is looking for a versatile marketer that is passionate about helping people succeed in achieving their financial goals while being a key contributor to deliver marketing strategies that build awareness, increase client satisfaction and deepen engagement with NM products and services.
As part of the Client Communications team, this role will partner across the organization to drive the strategic planning, execution, and measurement of digital engagement and adoption programs (i.e., eDelivery, online account registration, mobile app, in product marketing, etc.) that align with and deliver on corporate goals.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop strategies for clients to engage digitally and drive outcomes against shared/agreed upon OKRs with CX partners.
  • Build consumer campaigns, in-product marketing strategies and test plans. Execute on plans.
  • Identify data and insights needed for strategy development, partner with consumer insights and data science teams as necessary.
  • Seek and incorporate input on marketing strategies and initiatives from key stakeholders; socialize marketing strategies and initiatives.
  • Ensure development and execution of marketing initiatives aligns with strategic intent.
  • Develop business requirements and partner with technical teams to implement based on adoption needs across consumer touchpoints.
  • Lead creative development for promotions/content that align with brand standards, strategic objectives and key messaging.
  • Represent marketing in transformational client experience corporate initiatives; engage in cross-functional meetings, ensure efforts remain client-centric, define marketing support of initiatives, connect dots between corporate initiatives and the marketing organization.
  • Evaluate results of marketing efforts and refine approach to improve future outcomes. Define key outcomes and measurement plans; leverage data to improve outcomes.
  • Partner with others cross-functionally to ensure the accurate prioritization and sequencing of marketing work balancing client marketing priorities within the broader marketing organization priorities.
  • Innovate, challenge status quo, and incorporate fresh ideas and approaches into all work.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in digital marketing/communications, business or related field.
  • Minimum six years of proven digital marketing experience in a professional marketing or communications setting: corporate, agency or financial services industry.
  • Experience segmenting audiences and defining test-and-learn roadmaps and related experiments.
  • Organization Skills: Demonstrated superior ability to manage multiple complex projects and deadlines in fast-paced, team and independent environments.
  • Critical Thinking: Demonstrated skills in problem-solving, listening, planning, thought leadership and using data/insights to define strategies and optimize programs.
  • Leadership: Ability to negotiate, influence, and build credibility and strong partnerships in matrixed organization across business functions and levels.
  • Business Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for internal collaboration and development of consumer/client communications.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to use data intelligence to optimize decisions and strategies.
  • Creative Management: Proven ability to successfully guide creative development process and guide creative teams (may include writers, designers, external consultants, etc.) to plan, conceive, develop and implement marketing communications initiatives.
  • Customer-Focus Thinking: able to generate strong excitement with new and unique project ideas and programs that keep the client as center focus.
  • Adaptability: thrives in an environment of ambiguity, innovation and ongoing change.
  • Curiosity/Experimentation: Desire to supervise the constantly evolving marketing and financial industry landscape to incorporate latest applicable trends and technologies. Try something new, fail, try again.
  • Knowledge and experience in financial services is preferred.

Compensation Range:
Pay Range - Start:
$66,850.00
Pay Range - End:
$95,500.00
