Our Included Health Communities Products provide dedicated care concierge and guidance to members of specific communities, such as the LGBTQ+ and Black community, to ensure they benefit from highest-quality healthcare that meets their unique needs. By connecting people to culturally competent providers, and educating and advocating for them when they need it most, we strive to ensure everyone has access to equitable and inclusive healthcare. 


We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable marketing leader to build and manage marketing strategy in support of a first-of-its-kind healthcare navigation and advocacy platform focused exclusively on the Black Community.  As the Senior Engagement Manager for the Black Community offering, you will work directly with the Director of Partner Marketing as well as colleagues across operations, engineering and product development, and sales and customer success to launch and manage the marketing strategy for this new offering. You are passionate about our mission, a great team player, a self-starter with a bias for action, and committed to building and developing not only Included Health Communities’ member marketing strategy, but also our organization.  This role is responsible for driving member-facing marketing initiatives for our Black Community Product, including driving brand awareness, growing account registration, and increasing first time use of Included Health’s products and services.  This role is a perfect fit for someone who has a passion for healthcare equity for the Black Community, a breadth of diverse marketing channel expertise -- who is a natural collaborator with strong EQ -- and who is results driven.  This role is both innovative in needing to think about new ideas and ways to engage our members while also thinking about how we scale our tools and resources to be operationally effective.  This role is perfect for someone who thrives at being at the center of a fast paced, highly collaborative, performance driven job.

Responsibilities:

  • Create an engagement playbook that draws on a breadth of marketing channels/performance -- with a focus on email, direct mail, SMS, digital and our important customer internal channels. 
  • Be the champion of Included Health marketing engagement best practices in order to “sell in” those playbooks to our diverse customer base.
  • Develop best practice case studies and other marketing communication tactics that drive adoption of our marketing tools.
  • Draw insights from members and serve as their voice in product, and communication development. 
  • Develop consultative and strategic relationships with our customers on the topic of communications and member marketing.
  • Create and execute strategic communications plans for your large market accounts. These plans should include broad-based and targeted campaigns that focus on driving awareness, activation, and utilization of Included Health products and services.
  • Develop high-impact, convincing oral and written presentations of creative concepts.
  • Measure and share campaign performance to internal (growth marketing, product, and account team) and external (customer) stakeholders.
  • Keep learning! Brainstorm and bring to life new tactics, campaigns and ideas.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in consumer marketing.
  • BA or BS required, MBA preferred.
  • Proven advocacy experience oriented towards marketing to and improving health equity and access to healthcare for the Black Community.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills -- able to build credibility with our customer through ‘in person’ meetings and also able to develop written communications that summarize and sell-in our engagement plan recommendations.
  • Superb organization; comfort managing a project from creative inception through execution and into analysis.
  • You are able to think creatively to build strong systems and processes, leveraging your deep knowledge of unique health disparities facing the Black community, and effective marketing tactics, to deliver a differentiated experience for our members.
  • Demonstrated ability to be a self-starter, who can work independently and proactivelyDelight in being detail-focused.
  • Data oriented!
  • Excited to jump into analyses.
  • Excitement to develop hypotheses and methods for testing and verification.
  • Proficiency in content production especially for social and direct mail channelsYou have experience building consumer marketing programs and have a track record of success reaching and engaging target audiences.
  • Ability to flourish in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • Ability to work well cross-departmentally.
  • Passion for the Included Health product suite; belief that our services can transform how we access and utilize health care.
