The Sr. Marketing Events Manager will create and oversee  prospective customer events to ensure they are done professionally and provide great value to both attendees and KnowBe4. The primary focus for the individual in this role includes the execution of an annual marketing plan that ensures KnowBe4 is hosting events that actively engage with security professionals, and that those attendees convert into high quality leads. This position would further be responsible for the logistics and managing of marketing events including managing internal team members.


  • Provide genuine input as to the hiring, promoting, disciplining, and firing of subordinate employees
  • Manage/oversee the logistics for all trade shows and virtual events, including timelines, venues, booths, vendors, hotels, staffing, and budgets proposal, pre-event logistics/operational details, on-site event management and reconciliation
  • Work with international teams to support global events as needed 
  • Identify and secure staff, speakers, special guests, and/or entertainment for each event
  • Coordinate with all internal and external stakeholders to present possible marketing events
  • Ensure the Marketing department has detailed information and goals for each event
  • Plan event layouts and agendas
  • Provide technical and administrative support to the Marketing and booth staff team, attendees, and guests
  • Collaborate with Marketing team to promote events pre and post event
  • Ensure leads from events are received in a timely manner and and correctly processed and tagged for importing and tracking to sales 
  • Analyze the success of each event and propose creative new improvements to the attendees’ experience
  • Assist in site selection, contracting and negotiation process 
  • Assist the Marketing department in meeting Company objectives for lead generation from conferences, events, and trade shows, and virtual events
  • Organize and maintain an annual calendar and website page of confirmed marketing events
  • Order promotional items and maintain inventory

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years experience in event planning
  • Experience with Gmail and Google Docs
  • Experience with MS Office (Word and Excel)
  • Experience with web browsers (Chrome, Internet Explorer, etc.)
  • Excellent time management and organization skills
  • Excellent customer support skills
  • Working knowledge of other service-oriented roles, including space management, audio/visual, décor and entertainment, signage, housing, and speaker management
  • Excellent communicator with high attention to detail
