Sr, Manager Strategic Marketing will have global responsibility to enable Connected Aviation Solutions (CAS) external presence and key performance indicator (KPI's) . The Senior Manager will be the market subject matter expert for Business Aviation. The Senior Manager will be able to articulate if the market is real, can we win and is it worth it for the business.

The Sr, Manager Strategic Marketing leader will enable the re-imagining of the CAS marketing team into a dedicated structure designed to simplify CAS Strategic Marketing. This point of contact will work closely with Product Marketing, Marketing Experience, Customer Programs, Products and Sales to assess if opportunities are viable. The areas of focus are as follows:
  • Marketing lead for strategic Business to Business and Business to Customer engagements
  • Generate a deep understanding of the customer needs market segmentation and customer lifetime value.
  • Works collaboratively with Products, Customer Programs and Sales to assess market and market opportunities
  • Demonstrates an expert working knowledge of the relevant channel marketing, technology and industry trends
  • Stays abreast of new technologies and innovative trends significant to relevant market channel.
  • Researches and analyzes existing data and trends and takes action to communicate across the organization key and relevant information to assist with Gate reviews, product roadmaps and product launches
  • Represents Connected Aviation Solutions at Tradeshows, Conference and speaking engagement as available either in a lead or supporting role.
  • Represents Connected Aviation Solutions with customers, industry partners and/or governmental agencies either in a lead or supporting role.
  • First line point of contact for customer and external and internal facing presentations through coordination across Marketing, Programs and Products.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the department.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Subject matter expert in a specified market through the analysis of industry and market trends that manifest as customer gaps or demands.
  • Articulate and document the vision and define the target market in line with market trends, customer needs and Collins CAS' strategy
  • Partner with Marketing Experience and Sales to organize, run and work with user groups and other customer forums to develop customer relationships and influence market thinking
  • In collaboration with Product Marketing, establish and implement an effective 'go to market' strategy for the product(s) to include an agreed and executed marketing plan in support of sales objective
  • Support bid management processes and pre-sales customer interactions ( e.g. Gate process )

Basic Qualification:
  • Bachelor's degree and 10 years of prior relevant experience OR
  • Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience OR
  • In absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience is required
  • Previous working experience as a Marketing lead for 7 years

Preferred Qualifications:
  • MA degree (preferred) in Marketing, Communication, or similar relevant field
  • In depth knowledge of market research

Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home). An employee may be expected to travel to the site location as needed.
