Sr. Industry Marketing Manager
SailPoint is seeking a dynamic, creative Industry Marketing Manager to join our growing Americas Marketing team! This marketing pro will be responsible for driving the marketing strategy for a few of our most impactful and innovative industries. You will lead the end-to-end marketing strategy and execution to generate net-new growth and accelerating existing pipeline opportunities.
The ideal marketer will be an excellent collaborator, communicator and has a proven track record for successfully managing programs. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a passionate and innovative team to position SailPoint as a category leader among commercial industry verticals.
Responsibilities:
- Strategy & Planning: Provide expertise and thought leadership in support of industry strategic marketing including supporting the development of industry benchmarking and customer success stories. Collaborate with key stakeholders in sales, marketing (including Account Based Marketing, Campaigns, Product Marketing, PR, Customer Success & Partner Marketing) to develop and execute the integrated marketing plans for the Americas targeting new priority commercial vertical markets with a focus on Healthcare & Life Sciences (light touch on Financial, Insurance, Utilities etc.,) Able to distill insights to help drive a compelling value proposition using challenger messaging. Creating differentiated messaging will be key to this role while discovering new ways to reach industry verticals.
- Programs: Create and manage an integrated demand generation program, targeting prospects with strong pre- and post-program engagement. Sample activities include SailPoint-led, third party, webinars, executive briefings, digital advertising, content creation & syndication, virtual experiences, compelling offers, press, advisory boards. industry association partnership entitlements (like CHIME, ISACs, HIMSS etc.,).
- Communications: Responsible for developing regional buzz and adoption of marketing programs. Maintain ongoing communications with peers and leadership to share best practices, concerns and areas for improvement. Be an SME for industry verticals partnering with product marketing and campaigns to ensure key stakeholders are involved, educated and committed to the plan for success.
- Result Tracking: Meet & Exceed quarterly metric goals. Take accountability to analyze metrics of each program managed continuously in order to have a clear understanding of what is working and what is not to help guide future investments. Ability to spot trends and share opportunities for optimization and collaboration. Track lead flow and marketing funnel progress for all activities, using insights to continuously improve processes and alignment with sellers.
- Logistics: Responsible for ensuring all components for successful execution are in place including prep calls and coordination of speakers, staffing, agendas, shipments, creative, giveaways, booth properties etc., Research, select, negotiate and manage external vendor and agency relationships.
What You Should Have:
- 8+ years' experience in Field and Partner Marketing with enterprise software experience (security software experience a plus)
- Ability to connect technical concepts with customer values and drive differentiated messaging.
- A passion for story telling, thoughtful and ability to craft compelling messages.
- Experience with complex enterprise sales cycles and demonstrating marketing's impact on the business thru business models, dashboards and data
- Strong understanding on how to leverage and plan lead generation programs with channel partners
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proven experience using Salesforce; experience with 6Sense a plus
- Budget Planning and Management Skills
- Solid event management and organization skills
- Experience in building integrated campaigns leveraging the full marketing mix
- Ability to work in a matrixed environment
- Collaborate with product marketing and broader communications team in the development of go-to-market strategies/messaging
- Pro-active, self-starter capable of independently leading several projects with limited direction.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or Communications discipline preferred
- Ability to travel nationally between 20% of the time
