C.H. Robinson is seeking a Sr. Director, Global Marketing Automation with proven Marketo experience to join our Global Marketing Team. S/he will be responsible for strategizing and developing frameworks leveraging the technology, contributing as a discipline leader to integrated communications plans, and leading the department through staffing, mentorship, and career development. Sr. Director, Marketing Automation Strategy will lead all technical implementations necessary to transition into sophisticated marketing automation organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Acts as the business lead for the enterprise-wide use of Marketo email and marketing automation solution
  • Responsible for delivering overall Marketo roadmap and strategy that is coordinated with CRM and Sales goals
  • Comprehensive understanding of the technology integrations and data available to deliver targeted, relevant, and personalized communications.
  • Drive development of contact strategy with a focus on overall customer experience and engagement
  • Work with the business and team members to lead analysis of specifications for new development requests, including campaigns and marketing automations
  • Collaborate with Divisional Marketing teams to define, plan and execute campaigns to attract, retain & grow customers through data-driven engagement
  • Drive global email marketing strategy, planning, and campaign execution, including emails, landing pages, forms, automated programs, dynamic content, design, testing, and analysis
  • Oversee audience segmentation within the automation and partner with CRM team to align with strategic organizational priorities and marketing/sales initiatives and lifecycle stages
  • Works with Divisional Marketing teams to define and prioritize marketing automation, and tracking objectives
  • Provides forward-thinking channel recommendations to support integrations, data and platform health, and campaigns for lead scoring, nurturing, triggered communications, and lead generation.
  • Partner with Marketing Analytics/Optimization team marketing automation analytics and reporting to drive desired business results
  • Provides guidance, coaches, and supervises Marketing Automation Team for professional development
  • Aids in configuring and deploying one-time, recurring, triggered, and dynamic content-driven campaigns and journeys
  • Manage cross-functional, global, and 3rd party relationships
  • Create scalable solutions and processes for multi-lingual campaigns and initiatives

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10+ years of experience in marketing operations and marketing automation
  • 5+ years of experience leading and managing teams
  • 5+ years of relevant experience using Marketo
  • 7+ years' experience working in an agency or in-house marketing automation team
  • Marketo Certification preferred
  • Experience managing a high-performing team
  • Experience building solutions on the Adobe Marketo platform: Email and Landing Page templates, Forms, Munchkin tracking, Custom Object/API/Integrations, and Lead Scoring.
  • Experience creating and implementing measurement plans and building reports, dashboards, and visualizations
  • Experience in Marketo implementation and syncing with MS Dynamics
  • Experience with list segmentation and working with large data sets
  • Basic knowledge using SQL queries and understanding concepts of APIs
  • Excellent knowledge of CRM concepts
  • Experience in supporting end-users, requirements gathering, and documentation
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication and organizational skills
  • Big picture thinking with meticulous attention to detail; ability to understand the overall business and marketing strategy, translate that into marketing automation strategy and then execute with precision and accuracy
