What You'll Do for Us

The Sr. Director, Brand Strategy - Advanced Hydration will support the HSTC Global Category President in developing a vision and growth strategy for global brands within the Advanced Hydration Category including the portfolio of 3 global brands: Powerade, Aquarius & BodyArmor

  • Brand/category growth strategy work will include 3-year growth strategy, positioning, occasions-channels, VIS, packaging design, and passion points
  • Will be expected to develop a point view on creative strategy and innovation strategy for their relevant brands/categories
  • Expected to manage "shadow P&L" for category, managing strategic levers for topline growth and providing DME/investment recommendations
  • Expected to provide input on new and preferred business models for the category
  • Work with counterparts in Operating Units to help develop and execute cohesive brand/category strategy
  • Work with Global Human Insights to define a consumer segmentation and define category insights
  • Recommend shopper segmentation strategies by channel/occasion
  • This role will not have formal direct reports, but will work with a large network of colleagues across The Coca-Cola Company
  • You will be part of 5-8 person team of senior marketing talent reporting to Global Category President


THE GLOBAL CATEGORY TEAM SCOPE
  • Create vision and strategic direction for the category
  • Orchestrate engaging campaigns / initiatives for global brands to grow revenues and weekly+ drinkers while reducing DME by ~20%
  • In partnership with Operating Units, optimize DME resource allocation, marketing effectiveness and efficiency
  • D rive innovation by stewarding the brand portfolio and innovation pipeline
  • Scale regional and local brands within our Growth Portfolio and reapply like never before
  • Co-create with global marketing leadership the future of marketing in TCCC
  • Accountable for overall engagement and inspiration of the global marketing community

ROLE LOCATION: Atlanta, Dublin Preferred

Experience

  • Significant marketing experience ( 8 + years)


  • Direct experience with brand strategy work
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams
  • Comfort with and understanding of consumer and business analytics
  • Comfort with and understanding of human insights
  • General Management (P&L) experience preferred

  • Ability to work in Agile project-based teams
  • Business / commercial acumen


Communication Focus

  • Role will require frequent communication with Global Category Presidents , other Global Marketing sub-functions, and OU Category Leads
  • Global Category Senior Direct Reports must be comfortable communicating innovative approaches to marketing strategy and building buy-in across key internal stakeholders
