Description

The Sr. Content Marketing Specialist is responsible for the strategy, planning, and project management for all content-related projects, ensuring their alignment with digital marketing and SEO goals. This includes developing both written and multimedia content and managing freelance writers and content producers to garner the attention of our target audiences, expand SurePayroll's digital footprint, and grow awareness, subscribers, and leads.

  • Lead the development and management of a rich content calendar in line with the content strategy, blog strategy, and content amplification approach to attract a qualified audience to our owned properties.
  • Lead content production projects, including agency and freelance writer management, planning, creation, legal and compliance approvals, distribution, and maintenance. Contribute to the development of content.
  • Execute SEO tactics, in collaboration with the digital marketing team, including consistent use of targeted keywords in content and metadata, and outreach efforts for websites to gain backlinks to relevant content to support organic lead generation efforts and develops a network of go-to-influencers to build brand awareness.
  • Manage SurePayroll social channels, creating, curating and sharing relevant content, fostering interactions and managing company response.
  • Oversee audience development and recommends social media strategy for the company, growing relevant audiences and running social promotions to build the upper funnel and drive consistent and relevant traffic from social channels.
  • Provide direction to writers, editors, and internal reviewers to ensure brand tone, message and style represent brand voice, adhere to brand guidelines, and follow SEO and content best practices.
  • Evaluate and interpret data, like Google Analytics, social platform data, or search trends to inform and assess message effectiveness and evolve the content strategy. Develop goal-based KPIs for content initiatives and report on performance.
  • Develops Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) testing strategies for the Blog and related content to test CTAs and gated vs non-gated content, in order to meet website KPIs and objectives such as increasing social shares, and grow content engagement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree is Required, preferably in Marketing, Journalism or Communications. - Required
  • 5 years marketing experience, with demonstrated experience producing content for the web and other digital channels.
  • 3 years of experience in Experience managing social media for a brand, including monitoring responses, handling replies and escalating issues as necessary.
  • 3 years of experience in Demonstrated ability to ideate and produce multiple content pieces weekly.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Demonstrates written communication skills.
  • Possesses flexibility to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
