POSITION SUMMARY

The Sr. Associate, Social Media will be responsible for developing and executing Inspire’s social media strategy across all of the brand’s social media channels.  Reporting to the Director, Campaigns & Content, the Sr. Associate, Social Media will be responsible for driving content development and consumer engagement through social media.

THE SR. ASSOCIATE, SOCIAL MEDIA HAS SIX MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Refine social media editorial governance guidelines and calendar to ensure content is consistent with the brand’s mission and vision
  2. Define and execute upon Inspire's social media strategy by curating monthly social content calendars, concepting social content from ideation to execution, and publishing across relevant social channels
  3. Spearhead community management across Inspire's social channels, ensuring ongoing engagement with social communities to drive favorable conversations, ensuring brand-related questions, comments, and opportunities are addressed with speed, good judgment, and in alignment with brand guidelines
  4. Monitor and analyze data from social media platforms and third party tools to track performance and audience engagement; determining the effectiveness of social media content and providing actionable insights
  5. Management of the day-to-day workflow of social media content production, including working with external agency partners as needed
  6. Create social media graphics in Canva in partnership with Director of Campaigns & Content; demonstrating strong creative and editorial judgment

SOME YEAR 1 DELIVERABLES

  • Refine social media strategy and editorial governance guidelines
  • Curate monthly social content calendar
  • Develop and publish social media content in line with approved social content calendar
  • Ongoing monitoring and analysis of social performance to glean insights, reporting on performance data, learnings, recommended optimizations, and opportunities on a weekly and monthly basis
  • Brainstorm and execute social initiatives to increase brand’s reach and engagement; such as social giveaways/partnerships and user generated content to drive meaningful, lasting relationships with our audience

SUCCESS METRICS

  • Increase in social Follower Growth, Engagement, Reach, Impressions, Site Referrals
  • Maintain at least 4 social media posts per week and 2 Instagram story series per week

  • Exceptional attention to detail; e.g. the ability to catch spelling, grammar, punctuation, misc. typos and copy + design irregularities with ease
  • Hyper organized and a strong self manager — comfortable managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in time management and prioritization to fulfill multiple, sometimes competing deadlines
  • Creative thinker with the ability to successfully ideate and execute new ideas
  • Works well under pressure and can consistently meet tight deadlines with a strong sense of accountability
  • Resourceful self-starter, with a can-do attitude
  • Ideal candidate is both analytical and creative

EXPERIENCE

  • Must Have
    • 3 - 4 years hands-on experience in social media strategy and execution, with expertise in the social landscape to inform strategy, creative, and execution
    • Strong understanding of each social network's best practices, social content development, platform capabilities and performance analysis (Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn; with base knowledge of emerging platforms like TikTok)
    • Proficiency in third-party social media monitoring and management tools (e.g. Sprout Social, Later)
  • Nice to Have
    • Bachelor’s degree
    • Familiar with sustainability and/or climate change issues and trends
    • Hands-on experience in Adobe Creative Suite (e.g. Photoshop, InDesign, Premiere)
    • Video storyboarding, production, and/or editing experience
