As the Social Media Strategist, you'll develop and oversee social media strategies that are aligned with the University's content strategy, drive the reputation and carry Creighton's brand to our audiences.

On a day-to-day basis, you will plan and create content for Creightons institutional and University President accounts that resonates and builds meaningful target audience connections, post across channels, monitor trends, mine insights, and ideate on campaigns. You'll be a keen channel strategist, understanding how content should be positioned to achieve maximum results. You'll develop a cross-channel content calendar and drive meaningful interactions with our audiences on social media. You'll be strategic, ensuring the brand is creatively delivered on each platform.

The Social Media Strategist will be comfortable experimenting and piloting campaigns with a data-driven approach.

The Social Media Strategist will:

  • Collaborate with the marketing, communications, content, creative and web teams to create and execute the university's social media strategy.
  • Oversee timelines to support the day-to-day content calendaring across channels.
  • Understand the University's target audience personas and develop content accordingly.
  • Set and maintain channel strategies across social platforms.
  • Set up, manage and track paid social media campaigns.
  • Write content and edit channel-specific content.
  • Perform social listening and identify reputation risks.
  • Track, analyze, report and optimize for KPIs.
  • Counsel and collaborate with vendors and university partners on campaigns.
  • Be naturally curious and strive to stay a step ahead of digital trends, social media best practices and technologies.
  • Assist with content creation across Creighton's other digital touchpoints.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, communications or related field is required
  • Minimum 4-6 years of experience in marketing with a proven ability to develop a comprehensive marketing plan and implement best in class brand marketing and communication activities.
  • Experience leading and managing the work of others to meet deadlines.
