We’re looking for a brilliant Digital Media Strategist to develop campaigns and content to drive awareness, grow and engage our followers, and help convert them into leads, customers, and active fans and promoters of our company. This position has a high degree of creative license and visibility, and it requires abilities in multiple areas, including social media marketing, content creation, and relationship management. You should have command of best practices and trends in social media marketing, enjoy being creative, and understand how to both build and convert a digital audience. You’ll be driving social strategy for both GoGuardian and Pear Deck, high-engagement, fun accounts with a combined presence of over 100k followers. Are you the friend who explains the latest memes? What You'll Do

  • Build, manage, and grow the company’s social media profiles and presence, including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, and Pinterest
  • Strategize, brainstorm, and collaborate with creative team members to create shareable content appropriate for specific networks to drive engagement, audience growth, and key CTAs
  • Run regular social promotions and campaigns and track their success
  • Drive consistent, relevant traffic and leads from our social network presence
  • Explore new ways to engage and new social networks to reach our target buyers
  • Develop a deep understanding of what interests educators through listening and research, and translate that understanding into content strategies that appeal to their diverse concerns
  • Listen to and engage in relevant social discussion about our company, competitors, and/or industry, with existing customers and potential customers 
  • Work cross departmentally to weave strategies and initiatives from the Product, Customer Success, and Sales teams across social channels 
  • Bring communications planning alive by mapping quarterly and year long strategies around integrated media channels and platforms and timed to coincide with major events
  • Report performance metrics and share trends and commentary from the industry

Who You Are

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail
  • Creative thinker, with an ability to use both data and intuition to inform decisions
  • High sense of urgency, flexible, and prepared to operate in a fast-paced environment
  • 3-5 years professional experience as social media marketer, including:
  • A command of each network and its key features
  • Experience working in a highly-responsive social media environment
  • An understanding of tone and brand voice
  • Experience working with an escalation process for triaging issues or difficult conversations
  • Skill drafting nuanced copy related to sensitive subjects, incorporating brand messaging where appropriate
  • Experience working on large brands, experiential programs, and content calendar creation is preferred
  • A desire to be a part of inclusive, purpose-driven brand or organization
  • Bonus: Has worked in the education or edtech space previously, knows and understands the industry
  • Bonus: Agency or multi-brand experience
