What will your day look like?
Alliant is looking for an inspirational person with excellent partnership building and project management skills who can carry out Alliant's social impact strategy to reduce the economic, educational and social inequalities between those who have digital access and those who do not. The Social Impact Strategist is an individual contributor who is passionate about digital inclusion and helping underserved communities and individuals obtain affordable broadband, internet-enabled devices, and digital literacy training. The incumbent reports to the Manager, Marketing Special Projects, and is responsible for the management and communications around the organization's suite of digital inclusion programs and initiatives.
Responsibilities

Alliant Responsibilities:
- Delivers social impact projects and programs, working with cross-functional teams (internal and external), that impact Alliant's brand, culture, experience, products and services
- Develops, manages and expands relationship with partners (non-profits, FinTechs, suppliers, community organizations) working on digital inclusion
- Serves as subject matter expert on digital inclusion and educates company, employees and partners on closing the digital divide via trainings, presentations, written materials, and other regular updates
- Develops, drives awareness, implements and evaluates volunteerism and engagement programs for employees, key partners and members (when appropriate)
- Establishes measurable, achievable goals and provides consistent reporting
- Works alongside public relations, social media, and content strategists to build Alliant's reputation as an advocate in digital equity via ongoing communications
- Recommends and implements new initiatives and enhancements to social impact program
- Stays connected to Government policy and national/global developments in digital inclusion
- Responsible for effectively leveraging Alliant Foundation funding to support digital inclusion
Alliant Foundation Responsibilities:
- Manages and develops foundation marketing, communications, website and other content
- Partners with the foundation board to deliver upon foundation goals
- Completes special projects, as needed
Qualifications
What makes you a great fit?
You'll be a great fit if in addition to the completion of a Bachelor's degree, required, and you have:
- Minimum 3-5 years' relevant professional experience, preferably in marketing, communications, public relations, corporate social responsibility, social science, or non-profit development/ management
- Experience with policy advocacy communications and working with public agencies, elected officials and other policy makers preferred but not required
- Experience with social responsibility and/or corporate giving programs
- Strong project management skills
- Builder of authentic working relationships
- Outstanding oral and written communication skills and comfortable with public speaking
- Driven to deliver measurable results
- Experience running in-person and online events as well as creating and delivering engaging training
- Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and webinar tools
- Demonstrated ability to inspire and motivate others
