About this opportunity

This will be a direct freelance job for a US company; you will not go through a third party or agency. To excel at this position, you must be incredibly organized, and proactive, have exceptional verbal and written English and have superhuman attention to detail. You must have the hunger and hustle to get things done despite competing priorities and go above and beyond as needed to deliver results. 

Job overview

As a Social Community Manager, you will work alongside our Creative, Marketing, and Growth Teams to play a vital role in keeping our Social Presence active and engaging. You’ll set and implement social media and communications (campaigns, content postings)to align with our overall marketing strategies. You will provide engaging text, images, and occasionally video content for our social media accounts.

The majority of the time will be spent, responding to paid and organic comments, and customer queries on our social platforms in a timely manner, monitoring and reporting on feedback and online reviews, and organizing and participating in social events to build community and boost brand awareness, coordinate with Marketing, Creative and Growth teams to ensure brand consistency.

We expect that you will stay updated on new social products and features, and build relationships with clients and potential clients, and talent.

To excel at this position, you must have the hunger and hustle to get things done despite competing priorities and go above and beyond as needed to deliver results. You'll learn firsthand how your efforts lead to opportunities for the company.

Requirements

  • Proven work experience as a social platform community manager (at least 2 years)
  • Hands-on experience with social media management for brands
  • Understand how social platforms operate and general best practices around publishing and social platform tools. 
  • Knowledge of online marketing and marketing channels
  • Must have an outstanding online presence
  • Must be an exceptional communicator (both written and verbal)
  • You exude a positive, confident, and determined demeanor
  • You have superhuman attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills
  • You must be an outstanding individual contributor to thrive, yet also be willing to help your teammates, share your knowledge with them, and learn from them
  • You must have a “Can do!” attitude
  • You must have at least a 25 Mbps fiber internet connection and a backup connection
  • You must be able to type at least 40 words per minute

Everything you need to know

  • You are expected to work full-time (40 hours per week) at $6/hr
  • You must not have other jobs or competing priorities
  • You will be working night shifts with fixed weekends off
  • This is a freelance job; benefits, insurance, and paid time off are not included
  • This will be for a long-term engagement/contract
  • Permanent work from home set up
