THE PURPOSE:

We need this SEO Specialist role to help the Slickdeals website perform better in Google search results. This position will help own the competitive analysis project to pinpoint areas of focus to improve Slickdeals SEO.

This role will fit into the team by working cross-functionally with Business Intelligence, Technology, Content, and Product. This role will find areas of opportunities across the site to improve Slickdeals SEO.

The SEO Team contributes bottom line revenue, user acquisition, and branding for Slickdeals.

THE ROLE:

• A typical workday and workweek for this role is to build upon our competitive analysis research regarding coupon specific websites. This role will also learn various SEO concepts and techniques including log file analysis, content analysis, and various other SEO analysis tasks.
• In-house Competitive Analysis Tool, web crawling, and auditing.
• Accountable for keeping the competitive analysis tool in working condition, improving upon concepts and methodologies.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

THE CANDIDATE:

• Has an entrepreneurial spirit. eager and willing to constantly learn new concepts and methodologies, takes ownership to stay on-top of the latest search industry news and trends. Able to work with Python, Google Search Console, web crawlers.
• 1-2 years of experience. Working knowledge of Google Search Console, Ability to work within Python. Ability to research and learn different scripts and libraries.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

• Able to work within Google Search Console
• Understanding of HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript.
• Working knowledge of Python

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

• Knowledge of Natural Language Processing, such as Google NLP API.
• Has tried to rank their own documents and understands how content, code, and links play together within SEO.
