To accelerate our success, we must build up our SEO strategy to increase awareness and traffic, as well as optimize our core SEO web journeys to better educate prospects on the value of Mailchimp and deliver on our acquisition goals. 


The SEO Analyst is responsible for supporting the SEO strategy and implementation of Mailchimp.com. In this role you will support SEO and the larger web team to optimize SEO performance of the website - improve traffic, decrease SEM spend and increase conversion/revenue. You will work closely with the SEO team and cross-functional marketing and web teams to provide SEO guidance and oversight to all pages created. Key responsibilities include researching and recommending keywords, maintaining SEO data sources in BrightEdge and reporting - tracking competitor organic search presence, maintaining weekly/monthly keyword dashboards for Mailchimp.com, performing proforma analysis to measure the success of SEO projects, regularly updating and maintaining keyword tracking in BrightEdge, and assisting the SEO team with the production of weekly executive reports. You’ll also work with the larger marketing and SEO team to build roadmaps of SEO initiatives, and partner with SEO agencies and internal teams to refine and implement these initiatives. You’ll have the opportunity to work on both technical and content SEO projects.


In this role you should have experience in helping support SEO strategies for multiple domains.  A strong background in reporting on SEO is essential. You have strong working knowledge of current and emerging SEO best practices as well as the ability to make and implement recommendations from technical and content audits. You thrive in collaborative cross-functional teams and you have a drive for continuous optimization & improvement.

 

What you’ll do  here:

  • Perform keyword research to support campaigns and product launches.
  • Maintain weekly/monthly keyword dashboards for Mailchimp.com
  • Track and update marketing team on competitor organic search presence
  • Perform proforma analysis to measure the success of implemented SEO projects
  • Assist SEO team with the production of weekly executive reports
  • Maintain SEO data sources (BrightEdge, SEMRush, Google Search Console) including regularly updating tracked keywords.
  • Partner with SEO agencies to ensure delivery and implementation of initiatives outlined in the SEO roadmap.
  • Work with internal teams as point of contact for implementation of recommended SEO projects.
  • Work with marketing team stakeholders and SEO team to maintain roadmaps of impactful SEO optimizations.
  • Ensure that SEO content is appropriately merchandised and cross-linked throughout Mailchimp.com
  • Consistently provide actionable feedback to the appropriate stakeholders


We'd love to hear from you if: 

  • 2+years of SEO experience
  • BA/BS in Marketing, Communications or Business Management with a strong understanding of basic technical SEO or BA/BS in Engineering or related technical field
  • Prefer experience in managing multiple websites. International background is a plus.
  • Knowledge of the technical aspects of SEO, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, HTTP, URL structures, keyword analysis, content optimization, search engine spiders, indexes and algorithms, website session management, and other factors that can impact SEO
  • Ability to educate, communicate, and present to team members at various levels within the organization
  • Prefer experience in the technology space; SaaS and E-Commerce industries is a plus. 
  • Proficient in Web Analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console
  • Strong understanding of web development and design as it pertains to search engine algorithms
  • Strong prioritization skills
  •  Excellent project management skills and ability to align efforts across multiple departments
  • Very strong organization, problem solving, and interpersonal skills
  • Self starter that is comfortable initiating and leading efforts, projects and programs
