Job Description
*This position can be remote anywhere in the USA*
The Senior Solution Marketing Specialist will be responsible for developing and driving overall solution and ecosystem messaging to the top priority industries within our Motorola Solutions Commercial Markets. You will hold ownership of understanding our target industry market dynamics and our customers’ pain points as well as the mapping of this knowledge into the messaging and campaigns for our solutions.
You will be responsible for understanding the robust Motorola Solutions technology ecosystem and technology roadmap and using that to define, position, and drive messaging, strategy, and content to enable sellers and engage buyers of those solutions in our specific target industries and markets.
The Senior Solution Marketing Specialist is a primary advocate for the end-to-end benefits of our solutions, and is instrumental in crafting the future strategy around the messaging and marketing for our Safety Reimagined story. This role works closely with Product, Strategy, Operations, Finance, Supply Chain, Legal, Sales, and other Marketing team members to deliver messaging, content, and campaigns that drive revenue growth.
Responsibilities
Understand Motorola Solutions’ robust technology ecosystem and roadmap to develop messaging and strategy to expand the overall Safety Reimagined program across industries.
Develop and hold a deep understanding of the key industries Motorola Solutions serves and develop market strategies and campaigns accordingly.
Be an expert on the buyers, influencers, and the buyer’s journey: document the buying process, buying criteria, and the key pain points the buyers are trying to address for a subset of commercial verticals.
Support sales priorities within North America from a vertical solutions perspective.
Work cross functionally with product, strategy, operations, supply chain, finance, legal, sales, and other marketing team members to build and deliver differentiated messaging and positioning for our end-to-end ecosystem.
Together with the product team, educate both internal and external stakeholders about ecosystem benefits and key messaging points
Create high value content (e.g. sales enablement documentation, case studies, product videos, website copy, blog posts, sales and executive presentation decks) and work with the Digital Marketing, Sales, Product, Business Development, and Executive teams to activate the content as appropriate to run demand generation campaigns
Assist members of our sales team on calls with prospects when appropriate to provide deeper dives into the product and solution messaging.
Assist in the coordination of industry events and trade shows to best represent our solutions and develop business opportunities.
Be a thought leader and evangelist for our Safety Reimagined ecosystem, including internal training, external speaking engagements, and other relevant sales and marketing engagements.
Qualifications
BA/BS degree or equivalent working experience.
Hold a positive, enthusiastic and proactive mindset during creative and problem solving situations
Past experience in product and solution marketing, and/or product management
Past experience with security technology marketing or marketing to relevant industries
Excellent written and verbal communication skills -- there is a heavy amount of writing and presenting/selling ideas in this role.
Prefer working in a collaborative, cross-team capacity
Google Suite proficiency required
Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, HTML, Google Analytics, HootSuite proficiency preferred but not required
