Position Overview
As Brilliant Earth’s Senior Social Media Manager, you will execute social media strategy, planning and execution across brand social channels, including corresponding analytics and reporting. Working closely with creative and content partners, this individual is responsible for leading our social media team and overseeing all aspects of social content for designated platforms with the goals of building sustainable online communities, increasing brand awareness, deepening customer engagement all while driving revenue both online and in-store.

Job Responsibilities
 

• Develop the end-to-end social media strategy, execution, and growth of our paid and organic social channels (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook & Youtube). This includes creating and managing monthly content calendars, identifying process improvements, and measurement and weekly performance reporting.
• Act as a key owner of the business KPIs, proactively crafting strategies and executing initiatives sought at driving growth and performance.
• Collaborate with channel leads, PR, and Customer Service to drive excitement and word of mouth for our core offering and key product launches.
• Ideate and bring a social perspective to the larger marketing team by assisting with social-first extensions of large integrated marketing campaigns, seasonal and content tentpoles, and partner marketing opportunities and advocating for key creative assets, giveaways, and unique offers to drive engagement
• Partner with our community manager on social listening and advocate for the voice of the customer to the larger Brilliant Earth team to share customer insights and sentiment around product/service launches.
• Provide monthly and quarterly social reports that include social performance information, key highlights, areas of opportunities, and social learnings.
• Anticipate and initiate reporting and analysis and deliver results and feedback to cross-functional partners.
• Provide mentorship and leadership to social media team members, hire & manage freelancers or interns as needed, and seek out resources to support our social media channel goals.
• Stay on the pulse of all thing social media, with an emphasis on TikTok and Instagram—including new trends, popular creators, & competitive watching.
• Work closely with creative and content teams on monthly brainstorms to generate social-specific ideas, and coordinate on the creation and execution of all creative assets including videos for various social media platforms.
• Maintain and circulate the social media calendar to key stakeholders.
• Work with the brand partnerships team to optimize our influencer content strategy.
• Attend and cover brand and industry events from a social media perspective.
• Actively monitor social media accounts and track engagement metrics to identify opportunities to yield more engagement and reach.
• Analyze competitor activity on an ongoing basis to provide applicable learnings that will inform the social strategy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with emphasis in journalism, marketing, and/or communications
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience with proven history of social media strategy and audience development success within previous organizations or agencies
• Experience working with social media platforms and tools including Curalate/Like2Buy, Later, Sprout Social etc.
• Passionate, energetic team-oriented individual with strong analytical, interpersonal and creative skills.
• Ability to analyze situations and solve problems creatively and independently.
• Strong written and verbal communications skills and a demonstrated ability to effectively interact across business functions to deliver effective marketing programs.
• Manage workflows with the ability to create effective and efficient processes.
• Passion for social media, including keeping up on new trends and industry standards
• Analytic expertise and experience making dispassionate, empirical decisions
• Robust project management skills, including the ability to multi-task effectively
• Demonstrated success in developing cross-functional relationships to drive tangible results
• Self-awareness to feedback from all levels of the organization

The targeted budget for this position is $85-110K. This compensation budget range may be adjusted at any time at the discretion of the company.
