Senior SEO Manager
SailPoint is seeking an experienced SEO professional to drive our search engine optimization program to increase relevant organic traffic to our website. Reporting to the Senior Director of Digital Marketing, you will expand and extend the existing program to increase the number of qualified visitors finding our website through organic search channels globally. You should be comfortable engaging with content stakeholders including product and solutions marketing, copywriters, business analysts, and web marketers.
Responsibilities:
- Increase organic traffic to SailPoint web properties by building a program around SEO content development, backlinking from relevant sites, and technical improvements to our web platforms.
- Drive search reporting and health monitoring, including weekly KPI performance pulse reports as well as deeper analysis for quarterly business reviews and annual planning
- Create an international partnership model with content-focused SEO teams and agencies in EMEA and APJ regions
- Collaborate with content creators and SMEs to plan SEO content roadmap
- Lead SEO roadmap and interlocks between with product marketing and communications teams
- Drive governance of SEO programs across company
- Drive SEO direction for major site updates, product launches, and redesigns
- Work closely with analytics team to monitor traffic following Google algorithm updates and major site content updates an overhauls
- Partner closely with design and development teams, balancing SEO and experience needs
- Collaborate with Paid Media team on joint search strategy across paid and organic
Requirements:
- 7+ years of B2B search engine optimization
- Expert understanding of SEO fundamentals and latest updates to Google algorithms
- Deep understanding of technical SEO, including bot crawling and indexing, content structure, and global site management
- Experienced managing global SEO program touching multiple regions and languages, and able to communicate clear technical and content requirements to optimize those localized experiences
- Ability to translate between technical and non-technical partners and stakeholders, and helping to weigh the impact of technical SEO work on UX
- Demonstrated success with SEO tactics and/or other digital marketing initiatives that have led to increases in website traffic
- Experience with third-party enterprise SEO tools such as AHrefs or SEMRush, and their integration into the digital workflow
- Strong understanding of Web Accessibility Standards and effects on SEO/UX
- Experience using quantitative web analytics tools like Google Analytics
- Strong presentation, speaking, and communication skills
- Creative thinker and innovative problem solver
Preferred:
- Tech/SaaS experience would speed up time to ramp up
- Paid media agency experience would be useful but not required
- Experience optimizing on-site search engines such as Algolia or Swiftype
- Bachelor's degree or greater
