Job Overview
This exciting product marketing operations role will own product marketing research and pricing at AvidXchange. You'll have the opportunity to make an impact by building our competitive research program from the ground up, owning our product pricing and promotion strategy, and leading market research to guide our continued growth. The individual will develop competitor profiles, battle cards for sales, and conduct market research studies to keep internal and external customers abreast of the market activities of competitors. This person is responsible for staying abreast of AvidXchange's solutions and develop messaging, pricing, and promotions to help differentiate AvidXchange solutions. The person will develop deep market intimacy to help team members in sales, marketing, customer solutions - including AvidXchange partners - stay up to date on market and competitor activity.
Job Responsibilities
- Serve as a market expert by synthesizing industry trends, win/loss data, and competitive influences to provide valuable insights to the business.
- Develop valuable sales collateral and tools to support our buyer experience and maximize our win rates.
- Develop methods to collect competitor data across target markets
- Analyze and compare AvidXchange solutions to marketplace competitors
- Support vertical market expansion business cases with market research
- Support product marketing manager needs for pricing and promotions
- Play a key role in driving the creation of competitor profiles to provide intel to internal stakeholders
Required Experience, Qualifications, and Skills
- 7+ years of experience in product marketing
- Self-starter, comfortable driving results in a matrixed, cross-functional environment, and possess the flexibility to work in a fast-changing environment and ambiguous situations
- Strong aptitude for customer & competitor research, product marketing and analytical tasks action and tailoring the message across cross-functional teams and functions
- Analytical thinker that backs up points of view with meaningful data and has a high level of experience and skill with data analysis and tools.
Preferred Experience, Qualifications, and Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in business, marketing, or a similar degree
- Experience working for a software/technology or financial services company
- Experience working with Salesforce.com and competitive analysis tools
- Experience with Pragmatic Marketing or similar frameworks employed by leading product and product marketing teams.
