Job summary
The Red Hat Sales Strategy and Success team within the Application Services business team is looking for a Senior Product Marketing Manager to join us. In this role, you will focus on creating sales messaging content and best practices to guide a new, upsell, cross-sell, and renewal pipeline. Candidates willing to work in any Red Hat office are prefered, but exceptional remote candidates will also be considered. Moderate travel of 20-60% should be expected, following Red Hat's COVID-19 guidelines. You will enable sales teams to improve conversion rates from call to appointment, pipeline, and closure for all Application Services offerings. You will evaluate current sales messaging content and processes to develop a thorough understanding of the current situation. You will steadily and predictably create sales messaging content (print, video, and audio) and processes. You will also focus on one or more Red Hat's sales regions to develop a deep understanding of the sales nuances unique to those regions. You will share that knowledge with other members of the team. You should have written and verbal language skills beyond English and you'll need to be able to manage complex projects in a fast-paced environment in collaboration with various teams and stakeholders. As a Senior Product Marketing Manager, you'll also need to be able to dig into and build a solid understanding of our existing process, create content within time constraints, and suggest process improvements. You should enjoy and excel at working collaboratively and cross-functionally as part of a team to produce actionable process improvement. Specifically, you will collaborate with the Product Marketing, Corporate Marketing, Product Management, and sales professionals from Red Hat and our partners to understand product features, markets, customer challenges, marketing messages, and current sales processes to promote incremental, measurable improvement. Successful applicants must reside in a state where Red Hat is registered to do business.
Primary job responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Product Management team to understand the features of our offerings and solutions and how they can be applied to solving customer problems; apply that knowledge to sales messaging
  • Collaborate with the Product Marketing team to understand markets for offerings and go-to-market messages; apply that knowledge to sales messaging
  • Collaborate with the Sales, Marketing, and Product Marketing teams to understand how the key functionalities of our offerings translate into customer value; apply that knowledge to sales messaging
  • Develop relationships on the ground with key stakeholders
  • Support stakeholder teams by providing and championing specific, actionable, sales training and education; this will include both Red Hat's internal stakeholders and partners
  • Participate in the creation of sales messaging content for all Application Services offerings, including documents, presentations, videos, and audio content
  • Support regional sales leaders in realizing value-focused messaging outreach aiming to grow revenue and retention; generate reports on the performance of implemented programs
  • Support sales messaging enablement and training activities for all sales channels


Required skills

  • 5+ years of software industry experience, preferably in areas of software development using middleware, or sales management experience, or B2B marketing skills
  • Experience working in or supporting sales organizations to directly impact revenue generation
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Firm understanding of middle-of-funnel sales and marketing process procedure and roles
  • Ability to develop value-based messaging
  • Ability to create, track, and interpret key metrics while focusing on increasing revenue and improving retention
  • Metrics-focused and detail-oriented
  • Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple projects while working in a highly complex and fast-moving technical environment
  • Ability to learn new technologies and concepts quickly
  • Solid written and verbal communications skills; comfortable working with and presenting to all levels of an organization
  • Success in working in a persuasion-driven cross-functional environment
  • Proactive and motivated with solid work ethic and proactive attitude
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace offerings; advanced knowledge of spreadsheets, data analysis, and presentation creation


The following are considered a plus:

  • Experience serving in customer-facing roles, e.g., in enterprise or internal sales, as a consultant, etc.
  • Experience working with Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects, and other offerings included in the Adobe Creative Suite
  • Experience working with Tableau
  • Experience working with Python, Pandas, or other tools to manipulate and analyze sales data
