The Marketing & Communications team is responsible for connecting the world to lifelong transformative learning. They also work to shape public conversations on the future of education and work. The team is segmented into four areas of focus: Consumer Marketing, Enterprise Marketing, Brand & Creative, and Communications. The team is currently focused on expanding the reach of Coursera’s brand and bringing new learners to the site, connecting students to degree programs, attracting new enterprise customers — including businesses, governments, and campuses — and creating a marketing system that nurtures learners throughout their professional lives.


Coursera’s Product Marketing team connects consumers, educators and enterprises with our world-class learning products, content and solutions. Product Marketers play a key role in finding product-market fit, bringing products to market and driving adoption. In this role, you’ll lead consumer product marketing for a number of Coursersa’s high priority learning products including online Certificates and Degrees. Coursera is a leader in these dynamic, growing markets and you’ll play a key role supporting our growth and revenue goals. 

Responsibilities

  • Define our target audiences for key learning products including Certificates and Degrees.
  • Identify and activate core audience insights to help shape our product strategy and strengthen product-market fit.
  • Drive our strategy and market position in the online Certificates and Degree markets. Track competitor and market landscape to drive market insights.
  • Develop and activate core product positioning, value props and messaging for our target learner segments. 
  • Drive the go-to-market strategy and execution of high impact product launches. 
  • Partner closely with product team leaders, including Product Managers, Product Designers, Data Scientists, User Researchers and Engineers. 

Basic Qualifications

  • 8-10+ years experience, 5+ years in product marketing
  • Demonstrated history developing, launching and scaling innovative consumer products

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in edtech or higher education
  • Experience working with global products and audiences 
  • Experience or passion for the future of learning and future of work
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking with an analytical approach based in data and audience analytics
  • Experience developing strategies to solve ambiguous and complex problems
  • Thrives in fast-paced environments with a bias for action and can adapt quickly to shifting priorities
  • Ability to operate at strategic level while driving executional excellence
